Thanks for your comment Wayne. The brakes are fixed and I have an overhauled gearbox with new ratios and gripper diff. Hoping for a good result at Donnington today.

@@sjeffs1 It only takes half an hour of practice on quiet roads and then it's in the autopilot and you do it for the rest of your life. Really it's more side of foot and ball of foot. And by far the highest transmission loads come from un-bliped down-changes where the wheels have to make the engine speed up. Clutch life in road cars improves dramatically.

@@sideshowbob5237 Thanks Bob. I was getting better at it at Cadwell and will keep on it. Unfortunately, I don't have any manual road cars. Next up is a Model 3. 0% BIK in April 2020!

@@peterhowe547 Really appreciate what you guys do which allows us to race. Every circuit we go to in the UK the marshalls are great - really enthusiastic.

@@peterhowe547 We are racing at Cadwell this Saturday. First circuit I ever raced at in 2014. I am very late to this game starting at age 50. Love it in the 80s cars. In our little group we have 3 Golf GTI Mk1's and an Opel Kadett D just about to join us. The Opel (or Astra GTE) is a rare beast in the UK these days.

Yes I have come to that conclusion too Rob if I want my gearboxes to last more than a couple of races! It’s a work in progress.

I had the same problem racing my 1965 VW Beetle....The pedals wouldn't allow me to, so I had to heavily modify the throttle pedal, now its great. I use heal & toe every day going to work...so its now second nature....Great vid!

Great way to practice but my daily car has a dsg gearbox with paddles on the steering wheel! I am going to the track to practice!
