Well most of the time when they are like that it's because they are homemade like on a budget like can't just go out and buy a welder and some steel and brand new 5th scale parts

Holy smokes! Are you using a Losi 5IVE based diff/center driveline?
diff is using Losi 5IVE. Drive shaft is using industrial products sold in Japan. Spur gear is HPI BAJA.

A steel tube with an outer diameter of 8 mm and an inner diameter of 6 mm is used.
