I've done this a few times with BA A350 and A330 with Iberia. Have to say, much prefer the 350, especially with a €50 upgrade to biz 😄 Great video showing how widebody travel within Europe is available! ✈️
Cheers mate. Yes I must try the A330 next. Taking either of these instead of a smaller airbus reminds me of standing at Cardiff Central at five o’clock thinking ‘why are all these people squeezing themselves onto a two-car 175 when Gerald of Wales will be along in 20 minutes’ 😂

Great video as usual! I know my experience isn't as extensive as some, but the Sala Velasquez is definitely my favourite lounge. (It appears in some of my videos on my channel - MAD-JNB on IB and MAD-FRA on Latam) Always laugh at the entrance, in a corner of the duty free shop! I do rate highly the Business seats, it's been a while since I used IB in Y - back on the A343! Great views of London, the Oval and Wembley. Always good to take a widebody on a short route - thanks again!
£27.50? 'Not bad'???? Blimey Mark! I doubt you could get a coach ticket for that? I assume you booked that in Spain where there's no air travel levy (tax)? If that was booked in the UK it would have been noticeably higher. Nice aircraft though. I did a similar thing years ago to get to fly on a 777. Delta ran them (2004) from Atlanta to Orlando (even shorter than your flight) and that is one HUGE cabin. We were sitting quite near the rear in common peasant class, but got a really good view of the cabin opening out ahead of us to the flight deck.
Lol, thanks mate, I spend ages fussing about music tracks! Yep pretty quiet on take off, the ‘air noise’ in the galley was only noticeable in the cruise tbh. Maybe it was just me and this is perfectly normal, but I’d be interested to find out.
Hi Ian, if you’re a BA Silver tier you can choose your seat when booking. So if you book the A350, because there’s effectively no premium economy on this route, they show on the seat map when buying an economy ticket. I think I had to do it via the Iberia app once I’d made the booking. There may still be some availability nearer the time and is worth a look but having status is key for this one really.
