The center hole slot in the original case was for the collector buttons that used to come with the original redline Hot Wheels. There is a case variation that has that mag wheel insert in plastic on the cover. Don't see them very often. Usually see the mag wheel sticker or lace wheel sticker cover versions. Inside cover had a sticker showing the original 16 Hot Wheels models.
I have everything except for the Porsche 930A, I also had issues with the Mattel website. I was really disappointed that I missed it. Hopefully will be able to aquire one at a decent price. It definitely is really a nice set that I am happy to add to my collection. Enjoyed your video and glad someone else appreciated it as much as I did.
I also bought two of everything and also had to head to eBay to buy the Arsham studios Porsche. I am not a hot wheels collector. But I collect art with Arsham being one of my favourite artists. His stuff appreciates in value well also so is a fantastic long term investment. Daniel Arsham is colour blind hence the colours he uses for most of his work. Enjoyed the video
FANTASTIC set. I would have bought the first Porsche if I could have but I didn’t want the case. Wasn’t willing to spend the price on the other cars, but definitely a beautiful set.
Jason (The Mustang Hunter) got the Eroded Mustang recently, calling it one of his new grail pieces in his collection He also shows in his video that there is a life sized Eroded Mustang in a museum somewhere with crystals in the body and the seats of the Eroded Mustang
A very acquired taste, this Arsham set. The "Eroded" cars don't excite me that much, the Porsche 356 Bonsai and 930A are much more to my liking. I agree that the Eroded Porsche Safari needs to be converted into a premium version with full tampos and details. Other than that, it's too bizzare for its own good imo and i wouldn't pay the asking price just to have it. Thanks for the showcase.
What was the saying: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder "? I know they've art cars:some cars (like the classic Twin Mill and the Mustang ) are somewhat interesting, but each car is too expensive for me (IIRC, were they $80 apiece?) For the same amount of money I could get maybe 5 Team Transports or over 2 complete sets of Boulevard or premiums
I bought 2 of the 930A on sale date and one of the Bonsai Speedsters after they sat in the shop for a long time. I appreciate the artistry of the eroded cars, but none of them resonate with me. I thought about each one, but couldn’t pull the trigger. The 930A is one of my favorite Hot Wheels Porsches that I own, and is the centerpiece of my home display. It’s really beautiful.
I personally don't see the appeal of eroded Hot Wheels castings. I mean it's different ,and I can see the artistic value, but I don't find them attractive in the least. I get it though. This must be what I sound like when I talk about Hot Wheels Art Cars, or Hot Wheels "Fantasy" castings, which I love, and many people hate. I enjoy your enthusiasm for the series and stayed for the presentation which was fantastic, but you didn't make the sale. Not even that Eroded Rodger Dodger, nor Twin Mill got me on board, and those two are in my top 10 castings of all time. I have to admit The Porshe 930A was gorgeous. However that being said. I would be interested to know the mythology behind this style of art . What inspired him, why do they look this way, etc. The price isn't important, because as a collector I have paid a pretty penny for castings myself. If you like it, you buy it and that's what collecting is all about.
To me, these are just weird - a really undesirable set. If that 930 had proper decals, it might be decent, but HW seem intent on persisting with that dot matrix thing that everyone complains about. Not a patch on other brands that don’t command such ridix prices. Resist the hype! ✊🏼
Not my thing, I still don’t get it and think they could have done something more mainstream. They could have done something that more people would appreciate and collect.
very nice, I get it! P.S. Have you been out hunting for cars here in utah? Last month there has been no new cases at walfarts and target , still waiting for G case....
So you're paying 70 bucks for either completely untextured casts, or one that don't even come close to the level of detail something like a Mini GT has for almost quarter of the price? Great deal
As a fellow artist, but car enthusiast... I still dont get this set. def not for me. I think it's absolutely over priced and just too elitist for salt of the earth car guys.
In too purchased qty=2 EACH . to this day they are all setting on me staircase to upstairs unopened including the Lap Poster(s) and the Sticker decals sheets Nice I was unaware of the ARSHAM GLOVES w/logo
This set is missing either one or two cars IMO. '67 Camaro off road and a JDM. Gtr or Supra. Other than that I like the cases the cars actually come in cool for displaying.
These cars show a definite lack of creativity. Low effort interpretations of popular castings. Overpriced garbage under the guise of "art". An easy set to take a pass on.
I 🩷🩵🩷 these Releases , I been trying to figure out how I'm going to display which slots each will go • one is only display'N the Deutsche PORSCHE cars putting both sides facing out . •• also I'm going to Light up the Display Case with soft pink Lights and baby blue lights alternating in sequence or have them Alternate from Pink Blue Pink Blue of rotating the colour light up then with a BLACK LIGHT for dim light time of day ( these lighting technics Was shown by others on The HW Forums boards ) thankx TO everybody for showing is how what they did to DISPLAY light up thier ARSHAM Case(s) ~ col'pop ~ coldpopcarl ~ coldpopcarlsvws

That was a cool special effect that the beginning made it look like that thing was huge outside!

Baffling that this set doesn't include a DeLorean given that he had a full size one as one of his instalations.

I really love your backyard backdrop, ……very cool 👍
For a collector it's amazing. Too good to play with.
Jason (The Mustang Hunter) got the Eroded Mustang recently, calling it one of his new grail pieces in his collection
He also shows in his video that there is a life sized Eroded Mustang in a museum somewhere with crystals in the body and the seats of the Eroded Mustang
I see these as more art pieces that actually a car I’d play with or put in a diarama
Very cool presentation, that Porsche Eroded Safari is amazing. These were at Petersen Automotive Museum last year .
Your video is 19:11… 😂 One of my favorite numbers…. Awesome! I’ll be looking for that Porsche.
Gonna be hunting for a full set soon 😢
Meh I'll pass on this one
I got you, so overrated, the erosion thing is so silly.
Agreed! Yawn
Me too I'll pass
@@pfelipeprog7094 yea, doesn't impress me at all
I actually had to look up what a "Daniel Arsham" is! Not my thing either.
Love that 930A
Hi, does anyone know how many hot wheels daniel arsham 930a s have been produced?
one of my faves as well!

Oh man, where did you get that mat?
Did not think much of it till I saw this video, all are very cool - would pick them all up if more affordable for me............
I'm thinking is it too hard to paint the axle ends in the color of the rims?
HW can’t be arsed to do decent rims! It’s their USP!
@@needfoolthings It's all one color for a reason
The Porsche 930A and 356 are the best in my opinion. Unfortunately, too expensive to me to purchase. Where's the green track?
This rally Porsche isn’t that the car that won the Hot Wheels show last summer?
VERY COOL!!

im passing on this one but the fantasy castings are cooler than the godforsaken porsches

I like the 356, but these are WAY too much $ for me.

I don't like this set at all. Waste of money in my eyes.
@@onesixfourshowroom STFU. What's with people like you telling people what to buy?
@@clintonwashabaugh1387 So, don't buy it. Problem solved.
Very cool collection lamley group
I can definitely appreciate the artistic direction but will not be collecting the set.
the eroded models are absolute garbage
i have never seen uglier diecast
overpriced junk
Cry baby took an L on release day 😂

My mistake:thought they were $80 each ,but even at $70 each it's too expensive
(For $70,I could get 4 Team Transports or 10 Boulevards or premiums)
This is Pretty Cool and Okay Stuff but I will stick with my $1-$4 Models from Hotwheels
I must be missing something. These are awful.
Ummm, not for me.
fancy shmancy, lucky there were no Mazdas, otherwise would have to pull the trigger. lol
Meh

Overpriced junk!
WAAAAAY overpriced
Definitely Pricyyyyyy
i wouldn't give 1 cent for this set, definitely junk!!!!
Gifted, has no merit

I got the 930A and that was all I wanted. Not a fan of art deco even though I'm a Porsche fan.
What is it with these that people like? It’s a fully white car with chunks missing out of it. I wouldn’t classify it as art but I suppose you do you.
ACK!!!
This set is missing either one or two cars IMO. '67 Camaro off road and a JDM. Gtr or Supra. Other than that I like the cases the cars actually come in cool for displaying.
My dremel got out of control, now l can sell this Mustang for 80 bucks.
Now I'm gonna smash some with a hammer & sell those for 100 bucks.
These cars show a definite lack of creativity. Low effort interpretations of popular castings. Overpriced garbage under the guise of "art". An easy set to take a pass on.
It’s one cool car and that’s the Porsche. The rest is super lame
