I was on Team Future, personally, so I heard this song a lot. And the song being Big Betrayal is one of the best choices they could've made. Big Betrayal's whole premise is Shiver and Frye going ham on Big Man for working on Liquid Sunshine with the Squid Sisters under the "Ian BGM" alias. It was essentially Deep Cut vs Deep Cut, just like a mirror match against Team Future. As for the Splatoon 3 defeat theme, let me just say that it's honestly sad how we went from S2's amazing defeat theme to the one that just handwaves it off in S3. Why did they cut out the defeat animations, anyways? Those were amazing! I honestly hope Nintendo brings them back in Splatoon 4, they didn't need to be cut from the game like that.
Imagine the emotes could've had loss versions too, imagine for the stunts they'd just fail the stunt and look embarrassed and for the splatoon 1/2 animations they could reuse the old ones, also tangent: they should have had square showdown, and then another emote that reuses the splatoon 2 octoling emotes
