I mean it's good quality and using nice samples, but it is so much brighter and positive than the SNES original, it communicates a totally different feeling. This sounds more like the buildup to a nice walk in the field, not the build up to throwing yourself off a cliff in despair.
Honestly, I agree, the SNES soundfont depicts Celes's emotions perfectly and can represent a variety of different feelings and get all of them right. Unfortunately, in some cases, enhancing the ear's experience, means reducing the spiritual one
