When I first entered Karnaca, I was kind of shocked of the performance hit it had. I'm running everything maxed out with:
2070 Max Q with an external monitor ( to disable Optimus ) - overclocked to 150+ Core and 800+ Memory
    I7 8750H 6 core, 12 thread @4.1 Ghz Max Boost
    24GB 2666Mhz RAM
    1080p 144Hz Monitor
The performance would fluctuate between the 75-100 (with 0.1% lows going to the mid 60's in very certain areas ). It's still playable, don't get me wrong, but I expected a bit more from a game that is this old + the specs I have shouldn't be struggling that much. I haven't experienced such a hit on performance with the specs I have with any other game before.
I've also noticed that the game doesn't want to use my GPU to the fullest at all, too - constantly sitting around 75% usage and my CPU being used roughly 30-40% at best.
After tweaking the settings like on the video, it never went below 100 and sat comfortably around 105-144 FPS, which is a lot better than the huge fluctuations I had before! Thank you!

Nice! I've been testing some configurations based on your setting, and I would say that the "Advanced Settings" tab is the important one, that refers to the FPS and stability.
So I settled down the "Quality Settings" on Ultra and all the options to "Yes", and the "Advanced Settings" same as you, so I get (more or less), a stable 50 fps!, so ty for the settings.
    Btw my specs: GTX 1060 6GB, i5 6500 3,2GHz, 8 GB RAM 2133

Glad I could help... I actually moved to an Ultrawide 3440x1440 100hz recently and bought a few new games so will be getting around to more guides like this soon.
What resolution are you running at? I actually had a 980 before my 1070 which performed like a 1060... I am now running a 1080 now and have no plans on getting a ti because it's just such a beast.

Counterpoint Gaming Have you went back to this game recently? I just finished prey and was so impressed I decided to buy this even though there have been a ton of negative performance issues.

I really should go back to this game as they removed Devuno which effected the performance in terms of CPU,GPU and load times.

    i have gtx 1650 ti with 8 gb ram intel i5 10th gen 9500h should i use v sync?

    • @CrossplatformGamerMasterRace
      @CrossplatformGamerMasterRace  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The only time you shouldn't be using fast sync is in games that don't support it like some games that run on Vulkan.
So use Fast Sync or G-sync... Mind I had a freesync 1 monitor that was g-sync compatible but I would use fast sync 1 because freesync one only does like upto 75hz and my monitor was 100hz.

This game had Denovo DRM removed since this video was made so would probably pretty much lock to 60 at same spec.. plus recording effects performance.

You do realise I choose one of the most demanding areas in the game?
