Hi, Great explanation but I also need to scale the depth and when you do this after scaling the width the width measurement you have just done changes. How do you scale it to a certain width AND depth. Thanks.

Great question!
for that you need to use properties and change x, y scale for block reference in drawing(not in block editor), for this to work this way you have to keep scale uniformly option unchecked while creating block.
