A thing I found funny about the new Mr. Smee art is the fact that he has steel toe boots. Why this is funny to me is because the most popular Mr. Smee has art depicting crabs clamping on to his toes- thematic reason why he loses health every turn. Now, he no longer has to fear the crustaceans and his health will be spared X-D!
You guys are so on top of Lorcana news! Thanks for the info about the Moana promo card. I'm definitely getting mine! I really like the Jasmine cards since she is my favorite princess. I was shocked and very happy that "I'm Still Here" became a song! A nice Treasure Planet theme deck looks possible after this set drops. You can tell John Silver is the Ravensburger's favorite from the movie though. He has so many good cards since Lorcana started lol.

I think diablo can find a home with Followers and Broom in Library based decks, also as a second shift target an emerald/amethyst. And Mad Hatter can allow you to control your opponent next draw, combined with discard, it can be ann interesting lock😊 I really like the Ruby Jasmine for limited, maybe even for constructed Sail the azurite Sea is possibly better than Tipo, definitely better than one jump ahead IMHO
The Diablo/Library synergy is definitely a great one. Agreed about Mad Hatter and Jasmine. And definitely agree about Sail the Azurite Sea. I know Tipo has the advantage of building a board, but Sail definitely feels more powerful overall.
I've been dying to get a Shift Smee since Set 3, to help sing AWNW in my Pirate deck, but a 6-cost uninkable who dies to Medusa is a bit of a let-down. 😭
I think that David - Impressive Surfer could pair nicely with Nani -Protective sister. The costs are a bit out of order but if you can play him turn four then Nani turn 5 that could give you a lore boost so long as they can’t remove him. (Which if in competitive they definitely could but I’m thinking more with a casual mindset)
How is Scrump a "bad Ice Block"? It's literally just 1 more ink for 1 more reduction? That's not game breaking, but is it bad in Amber? I don't think so.
Well, it doesn’t naturally fit into an item deck (currently). After that you need to exert a character to make use of it, so you may not be able to immediately use it and it always creates a situation where you need to 2-for-1. And then Amber’s removal usually relies on high strength, so removing strength feels a bit counter to it. But always happy to be wrong on these things.
It’s ambiguous for sure but it’s the exact same wording as Belle Strange But Special, so we assume it follows that well established ruling. As per the app: Q: When I use Belle - Strange but Special's Read a Book ability, can I place any card into my inkwell or does it need to have the inkwell icon? A: Belle's Read A Book ability only allows you to put another card into your inkwell; it doesn't override any other rules of the normal process of adding a card to your inkwell. The card must have the inkwell icon and you must show it to all players before putting it in your inkwell.
@InkbornHeroes it's weird they wouldn't simply add the word "inkable" to the sentence, especially knowing it's previous usage spurned the need for the FAQ on the App... saying "place any inkable card..." would clear this up entirely. I also don't understand how you are then able to ignore the rule when other cards say "put the top card of your deck into your inkwell" which has the ability to override the rule itself?
What is this Set? xD Now i wanted to build more decks and not just alice in wonderland. Now i wanted to build lilo and stitch, chip and dale, big hero 6 and winnie pooh too xD oh and btw, your translations when it comes to german card is pretty accurate :)
We literally have a spreadsheet of all the themed decks we want to build this set 🤩 So many options. And thanks for the confirmation on the translation. I guess Jim Hawkins is pretty great then 😁
