Brilliant planing, especially the food shop,I totally agree with your philosophy of crisps and coke when not feeling good on a passage overall a good preparation and feeling stress is part of it all I suppose you have to consider the worse scenario and have a plan 👍 And great that you are going with other boats I will definitely use this video for reference when I hope next year early spring to do this passage obviously weather permitting You have a good boat so I am sure all is good I know your there now safely but I am still sending you guys Fair winds have a great crossing ⛵️
Hey Demetrios, thank you so much for the lovely comment, glad you found it useful! Crisps and coke can save the day! What is also really good is a Greek salad with lots of salty feta ;) Although passages are stressful, most times properly planned they are also very relaxing as there is not much you can do, just lay back and enjoy the ride and nature! Fair winds and all the best :)
Well, for as the big passage was to the Canaries, we will spend the winter here, so no bigger crossing, perhaps in the future 😉 Perfect, enjoy your time and boat down there 😁
I know how you feel before setting out on a long passage, I could feel the stress and tension of your passage planning. I'm guessing you've either arrived or are well into your passage by now, hopefully you had an uneventful passage. Well done for mentioning Brexit hopefully those who voted to leave are equally suffering the consequences of the cruising sailor.👍
We indeed have arrived safely, in hindsight and for once the stress was justified as lots of Orca attacks have occured in the area since, combined with heavy weather 😳 They must do, but guess they have a reason for the suffering or they won't ever admit it 😔
Pleased hear you arrived safely, I'm assuming from your comments that you hopefully didn't experience any attacks from Orca's and you had fair winds. Looking forward to your next adventures, always fun to watch especially as winter is on its way here in the UK @@sailingAGH
@@sailingyachtmagnum yeah luckily no Orcas. The only sign that winter is well underway here in the Canaries are the somewhat shorter days, temperatures are still very high. Stay tuned for our video of the crossing l, should be out tomorrow 😁

Wow, I didn't realize that you're going to pass. Safe sails my friends. I'm heading over to Mexico to sail my 352 back to Rio Dulce, Guatemala.

Do you have Live tracking at marine traffic?
Hey Savvas :) Yes we do look up 'DORY MAN' German flag on Marine traffic, but only online when sailing ;)
What! The UK is out of the EU? When did that happen?
I wondered why postage and delivery had gone up...
Hahahaha, indeed it happened, sort of overnight :)
I think you do eat chips 😂😂
I think you are right :) But surprisingly we had a few bags left by the end of the passage ;)
No UK! STAY OUT OF THE EU
Not sure you mean the UK is not welcome in the EU, or the UK is better of staying independent?
