  • Viruses are supposed to be the biological weapons of the future. They are everywhere. Millions of viruses around us, interact, invade. Virus able to evolve, change your environment, jump from one species to another. Scientists continue its track. Looking hiding in nature, in animals that viruses use to travel from one place to another planet ... but not always find them.
In recent decades there have been many diseases that so far only affected animals. These diseases, caused by very aggressive virus, appear with high frequency in Africa, and requires a high financial contribution in order to eradicate them. Marburg virus, influenza, dengue, yellow fever, Ebola virus, human immunodeficiency virus, Epstein-Barr...
To find answers we enter for the first time in the High Security Center Biological where the most dangerous viruses in history and the emerging service. And the World Health Organization explains how he manages to monitor the emergence of new viruses and diseases in any country.

Yep. Me too. I don't know how they concluded that the obnoxious noise enhanced the video.. but seems everyone is adding it, some totally overwhelming. You'd think those folks trying to be heard over that loud noise would complain about the fact their important dialogue isn't heard.

It's definitely sad to see how life for some is so hard on Earth. I don't live in a big city and have had to deal with the issues of nature.
The combination of town thinking and village is not a good one. If we look closely, we will be able to understand that often, troubles come from believing that we can have it easier than we really can. Poverty is a problem in itself, so we need more mind and effort for things to work. What I want to say is that if we do more instead of expecting others to do sg for us, we will stand better.
We need knowledge added to material help. How to get and keep clean water (boiling it, f. ex.), how to keep our homes clean to keep insects and hazardous animals - like rats - away. We need tips, clues and all the help we can get to not only survive but enjoy our lives the best way we can as long as they last here. We shall meet and continue to celebrate up there.
    Many, many blessings!!

the chemist female why did she smile when on about use of the virus for small pox as a weapon, i wouldn't trust her to be in charge of a cough. it takes just one disillusioned chemist working at labs who have access to small pox to start an epidemic, as one place is America and the other is Russia either one is at high risk of such happenings/occurrences. we know that they are both working on even more virile strains of this virus among others. the UN banned chemical warfare but both countries among way to many others are working on viruses and chemical gases, for the use in war time.

That is the biggest enigma. Are viruses living or non-living?

    • @BlackMidalia

None living. They don't breathe. They don't reproduce Asexually or Sexually. They reproduce by replicating themselves in a host cell. "Dead" virus's actually just means inactive.

Out of curiosity, why did the ebola virus not become a worldwide pandemic? It was extremely contagious, so i would have expected more spread. Was it due to the high mortality rate? Or was climate a factor?

They reported it and air travel and travel in general was suspended. Most cases were not reported in Africa because the communities are so far apart.

it actually doesn't spread easily and most people with ebola are generally too sick to spread it. The 2014 outbreak and most outbreaks are from funerary practices in some African nations.

The simple answer is that the first infections were of men and women of every nationality. Whereas say HIV was essentially confined to gay men and IV drug users almost immediately. Guess who people had more sympathy for...

    "Perhaps".
It is important to think spiritual when viewing these things,
for much of those locations, had not the virus, (that is , if it is authentic),
not arisen, would probable not have gotten the attention of the world.
    Its just a suggestive view.
