Thank you very much for posting these rant videos. I really like listening to/watching maple stuff because I can't invest that much time into the game to experience it myself, and most content is bossing and stuff like that.

reboot progression speed is a good fit for the average player who is not expected to grind like crazy or stick with the game for more than a couple of years. and that's why I recommend it to most people. regular is for those who are in it for the long journey and are confident they are gonna stick with the game long enough to make it worth it. I think it has its place but only for a minority of players. the focus should be on making the journey enjoyable rather than reaching the destination. I think the KMS whales are looking at it the wrong way by saying reboot is "easy mode". easy does not imply better, it could imply worse - a lot of people wouldn't want to play easy mode when they buy a game, they would rather challenge themselves.
I have many reasons to prefer reg, but some of them are:
    - I am a legion main and I love being able to prep and transfer symbols from a 250+ char is big convenience
    - I want a vac pet on every class branch
    - the feeling of building an empire and my other characters benefiting from me being super established is even stronger in reg. monster life, pet accessories with a ton of att, transferable meso/drop gear, etc.
    - I grind hard and if I ever decided to focus on 1 character I would reach the extreme minmax ceiling very quickly on reboot. I like the higher ceiling in regular even though it's unrealistic for the avg player to get there. faster progression in reboot devalues the earlier stages of progression so I would have to aim higher to challenge myself, and I'm not all that into that level of minmaxing.
    - lower meso numbers in reg mean nothing. it's about what you can do with that meso. with enough suplly of items, that meso goes a long way. for example you could buy a 5l secondary for 15-20b in luna. but yes, reboot progression speed is still faster. but it still doesn't necessarily matter if you're in it for the long haul and care more about the day-to-day convenience
    - way more convenient to get and upkeep pets (and vac pets). there's no 9 month revives in reboot, and the vac pet upkeep is a lot more expensive. I would be so annoyed if I had to revive my pet every month. getting pets and pet skills without spending also requires a lot of work making a maple points mule in reg, and I don't even think the pets come with autobuffs.
    - being able to skip the process of tiering up fams is also great. hate the system.
    - not having to micromanage spirit pendant uptime (just get a permanently extendable pendant) is also great
    - not having to go through the process of cubing and starforcing every single piece of gear is also huge, though it's not as convenient as it could be because we don't have KMS population. I find cubing particularly tedious, and it becomes extra tedious once you're cubing for your stat specifically (in regular if you're cubing an accessory you could resell/trade if u get wrong stat)
some of these things points are fixed if you're willing to pay the relatively low spending floor for reboot, or play reg for maple pts for a few months and then start reboot.
at base spawn you can get like 96m/hr on the high end btw. 110 on a shadower. my dark knight in odium gets like 97 at 17k kills/hr and it could be better. this is without legion wealth

The fact that you are closer to 300 than anyone, including Reboot Players, made it clear you made the right decision for staying in Non-Reboot.

Hi, thanks for the video, I am a new player (playing around over a month on GMS in EU).
Ive started on Luna, i regret - as at some point for new player - its a paywall you cant get through easily and game becomes dull - you reach 250, you reach all epic pots, you roll all bonus rare pots.. and you are done and locked for arcane power and cant progress. I'm currently switching to reboot post 3k legion on reg, just before new age.

FUN FACT: Every 200 mobs killed by Niru is equal to all the exp you would need to lvl from lvl 1 to lvl 200.
And Niru would have to kill 340 million of these mobs to level up from lvl 294 to 295. (base exp)
For Niru to lvl from lvl 294 to lvl 295 he would have to farm exp equal to 1,700,000 lvl 200 characters.
    INSANE!!!!!!

Even if you likely optimize your movement, it seems like your fingers would get extremely stressed doing this for a long time. Don’t forget your health.

I play in the same world and I echo these sentiments, it feels really bad when you compare reg to reboot for the general playing experience.

0.268% per hour, damn that's much better than your rates at level 293!

Well, yeah, when trading is involved, the simpler and more accessible the task the less profitable it gets, and what is simpler or more accessible than just killing more monsters? A good comparison (outside the scope of the video I've read the title) would be between doing profitable activities and comparing cubes per hour then.
Exp is about equivalent, slight differences are irrelevant because one way or another one of the servers will get more, and balance means that the difference is as small as possible.
Frenzy services is stupid, an easy solution would be adding a frenzy tool similar to the clover tool for a month to the NX shop or whatever.

Even the most profitable ingame ways to progress like bossing is very poor value compared to Reboot. Boss crystals are worth so little that a lot bosses are hardly even worth doing. The only thing that is decent income is arcane armor boxes and pitched accessories at this point. But Pitched drops are so exceedingly rare in reg servers that when you divide the amount of boss clears it takes to get a drop, it starts being really shitty value. Reboot is tenfolds easier to progress in at the moment. This is why this has become a huge debate in KMS, you have people progressing to endgame in less than a year in KMS Reboot, and because boss crystals there are worth so much, and cubes/flames are so cheap, it becomes very easy to progress, the same goes for star force. Reboots meso income absolute dumps on regular servers at the moment, in both KMS and GMS. KMS has had a very large influx of players into Reboot in the last year because reg servers simply isn't worth starting in or trying to progress in, and people want that playing field leveled out.
Whereas Reboot mainly has Star force, cubes and flames, reg server has those 3 progression methods with scrolling and bonus potentials slapped on top. Reboot gets the FD passive instead, and it's completely free and just scales with no effort.
Another reason why players in KMS are upset is because a large quantity of items are now completely untradable in reg servers, with a focus on the dawn set and pitched accessories as progressing through these items without spending is absolutely ridiculous. So the one big advantage reg servers have over Reboot falls short because you can never sell or trade these items, meaning in most cases you are forced to make your own. This is poor development for the playerbase because it makes the market for these items way worse, and the only thing stopping these items from being tradable is Nexons greed to milk every player for as much money as possible. It's poor development that push many players towards Reboot at the moment. In Reboot pitched boss items have a significantly higher droprate, and upgrading to these items becomes so much easier as a result.
Reg server progression is just extra steps and way more effort at this point, and this comes from someone who used to main reg server, but swapped to Reboot for some of these exact reasons. If you've never progressed far into reg servers, you don't know how much harder upgrading equips is. The Frenzy argument also falls flat in KMS, as they don't have it. GMS will eventually phase out of Frenzied spawn as well, making farming here even more atrocious because of bad markets.
A bit of a longer rant, but it's hard to summarize how much easier Reboot is without going into details.

Reboot at a base level is easier than reg server to progress, however and super endgame reg servers peak numbers will almost always out do reboot because of how much more they can min max. Iirc for exp numbers it’s exactly the same way, but ALOT worse now that totem/kish is gone. Not quite sure how the health of regular server is gonna be going forward. I could only imagine the garbage piss rates they will get when spawn enhancers are gone at endgame. #redcardsforreboot (also reg server can at least force gear replacements, reboot is perma waiting room)
