Hi, you think there is significantly more details for black and white photography, than with 27mm 2.8 or 35mm 1.4? Struggling with a decision between the three options.
@@lxhk3595 30mm out of those three options, but don't rule out 33mm. If you don't need macro, you will get much more from 33mm and the price difference is just $100/90 euros right now.
Thank you for your review. There is one thing I am wondering about. I have XF80 Macro lens. I take product photos and videos. Right now, my working environment is home, and I don't have much room for this lens as I have turned a small room into a studio. Could the XF30 be a good alternative for product shots?
Sure, it is a great option for product shots in tight places. It will give you nice, sharp pictures, and you don't have to move far away to get everything in frame.
Just throwing it out there, but 35mm F2 with a tiny extension ring in your bag? - extra stop of light, nicer portraits/low-light, more portable and cheaper :P - I'd love to see a comparison of that actually!
ok, I just tried it with a 26mm extension tube and the 35mm F2, this is how close I can get to an Apple Watch crown: th-cam.com/video/erNFuCsn0cw/w-d-xo.html - I think a comparison would make an interesting video :)
Wow in the first minute you have more eloquent and detailed commentary than almost anyone else on TH-cam. Nice video!
We work hard on videos to make them short and packed with information, thank you for noticing)
I would like a video about focus-stacking on the fujifilm! Auto and Manual please.
Very helpful and thorough!!
Glad to hear that! More content like this on the way )

If you aim for sharpness, more detailed photos - go for 33mm 1.4 LM, it’s in a different league

I'm rather going for micro contrast und image fidelity. And the 33mm is out of my reach (wife ;)).

Watch out for the 27mm. At least the first version of that lens seems to easily break in the focusing mechanism. I had to throw mine away. :(
1.4
Does this lens perform well in xt30 ii?
Sure, it will be great pairing

A macro lens isn't just about being able to focus close. It's an required part, but not the whole story )
@@goxukraine would be interesting to tell that story in a comparison :) - just a thought.
