  • This is not a relatively new monitor controller but I believe that because of how simple it is and how well it works, It still holds it's own as one of the best monitor controllers for the money. It's simple plug and play with no hassle. It's the BEST monitor controller for someone with two pairs of monitors, a sub and two input sources.

      Oh if it’s the Mackie big knob return that thing asap. It’s garbage. I started with that one and had a similar issue

      This controller (Drawmer CMC2) or the Heritage Audio controller is great as well

    I was going to buy it because it’s perfect for what i need but it has sooo many bad reviews, most about the quality and how after a few months they knobs crack.
    Any updates since you had it for a while now? still good? really interested

      @@Idonttakethisseriously mine is still good! Some times the attenuation knob cuts out when I adjust volume but it’s not really an issue.

      @@thirdislandproductions9708 thanks a lot! out of all the ones I check this one looks perfect. I still have the presonous central station which was 700 and sucks so much. Had the big knob and didn’t like the coloration it gives. This one is looks perfect for my SSL 12 and I have sets of monitors. Thanks again, I will go for it after all

    Thanks! would you say it is transparent? Have you noticed any change in your monitoring sound?

      Hey. Honestly I’m not sure if it’s changing the output of my monitors. I haven’t used a different controller and I have connected my monitors directly out of my interface to listen for that difference! So I can’t give you a solid answer

    When disabling the Subwoofer will the crossover (lowcut) also be disabled on the monitors? The manual only says "If the sub-bass is attached to the SUB/MONO output on the rear, outputs A and B could deliver the higher frequencies and allow for A/B (or in this case A+Sub/B+Sub) comparisons between the two monitor setups by pressing the A and B switches simultaneously and leaving SUB always active."

    I’m considering upgrading to this or the Heritage Audio ram 1000

    Does your unit have a noticeable hum? I’m using our mogami The slightest bit might be tolerable, but this is ridiculous

    Too bad there aren't attenuation pots for the monitor and sub outs. This would make it easy to level-match.

    Yo Can yo play speakera A and B together ?

    • @thirdislandproductions9708
      @thirdislandproductions9708  ปีที่แล้ว

      you can but if you have two separate monitors, it was cause phasing, so unless you are using two of the same brand monitors I wouldn't recommend it.

    Hey I was wondering what cables do you use from ur interface to the input of the cmc2? I’m having trouble hearing output

    • @thirdislandproductions9708
      @thirdislandproductions9708  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the late response. All of may cables are Male XLR going into the speakers then TRS going into the CMC2

    How can I balance the output volume of the outputs? as my audio speakers do not have a volume potentiometer (focal alpha 50evo )

      @thirdislandproductions9708  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      honestly not sure what you are asking. My Genelecs don't have Volume knobs. I just plug in my monitors and adjust with the volume knob on the Controller

      hi Thanks for the reply.
      I was wondering because having two pairs of speakers of different brands, I wouldn't want there to be a difference in volume when I switch from monitor A to monitor B@@thirdislandproductions9708

      100% Undetstand! do both monitors not have a Value knob? I had a situation where my genlecs didn't have a volume knob but my Kali IN-8's did. I had to turn my Kali Volume knobs up all the way ro math the volume of the Genelecs. It really depends on your situation@@alessandrobonifacio8297

    Can you listen to both inputs simultaneously? or do you have to switch back and forth?

    • @thirdislandproductions9708
      @thirdislandproductions9708  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can. It might not result in the best sound but I guess it depends on what you’re doing.
