@ThatllDoSquig-pq8vo I’m super interested in seeing how Warhammer plays out, using all the minis on the battlefield. 😀 Personally, I’m just not into the mech theme over D&D…but the game could be super awesome and suck me if I had a chance to try it. When I was trying to find pre-painted minis for Warhammer, I didn’t realize they were hard to come by. Can you buy the minis pre-painted from the official company…or do you have to pay someone to paint all of them? I know people recommend eBay or Etsy for that…but I really want a guaranteed pro paint job by the original company without having to source it out and ship back and forth. Please let me know if you know cause I’m genuinely curious about trying it out, thanks✌️😎

@@darliniansdungeonGames workshop aka Warhammer never sell anything pre-painted. Its all 3rd party businesses, peoples stuff or friends trying to just sell their painted armies. Paint quality/price is always variable because people wanna make a profit or they undersell their mini’s because they need quick cash or just to get rid of it.

If anything, now I actually feel more appreciative of the D&D minis from @wizkidsofficial and how consistently stellar they look straight out of the box ✌️😎

A box of 5 miniatures at the price of a 3D printer? Yeah. What a bargain, lol.
@Masuuruhiito It’s funny you say that cause I almost went the 3D printer route before investing in WizKids. I wanted the flexibility to print whatever I wanted and saw that the printers were getting super affordable. After months of research, many factors held me back. The cost of resin (I want the good stuff, not melted plastic threads) along with the time to prep files, print, and then sand the minis (after assembly…assuming everything worked), then actually paint them to a decent quality. Also, the space required and proper ventilation is a thing too as I live in a basement (dungeon). If I calculate my time as money (and everyone’s time is money), each hour printing, prepping and painting is waaay more expensive for me…on top of replenishing materials to do this. And I already feel I don’t have enough time as it is 😆 Don’t get me wrong, I’m super interested…just not yet as 3D printing is gonna get soooo much better in the near future!! Can’t wait for that Star Trek replicator!! ✌️😎

i grabbed the bundle with the 2 mm bricks. opened both of them, havent gotten around to the other cases. mm2 and mm3 boxes had an assortment of base types in each box, some clear, some all black, some black with white text. only 1 broken fig out of 16 boxes, that a record for me, last few years id be lucky if there wasnt a broken /bent to hell fig in each box. other than that im happy enough so far. the base thing has me really confused. mm2 came out years before clear bases was even a thing right?
@xJasonHatx That’s interesting what you said about the bases and thanks for sharing your experience with buying these bricks. I’ve personally never bought a brick set before and didn’t even think about the potential for damaged minis. Good to hear that the Quality Control was better this time.
That said, anyone here in the community know why those bases and text are different colours in mm2 and mm3? That’s really weird to me too! I had to check online and I think I just saw the Iron Golem is on a black base AND a clear base in the same set. Bizarre! Thanks for sharing your experience and hopefully we’ll get an answer to this✌️😀

in response to my question. dont take that as a definitive answer, but it does make sense. I guess if you are a hardcore collector that wants mint figures to display maybe take this into consideration before buying. But if you are just looking for some new things to throw down on the table its certainly not the worst deal ive ever seen. oddly enough, in my singular experience there seemed to be a much higher rate of the more sought after minis, beholders, dragons, mindflayers, PC figures ect than normal. but obviously results not guaranteed.
@@xJasonHatx Right on and thanks for sharing 😀 This totally does make sense and I can appreciate the need to unload stock to make way for new stuff. My ONLY real fear is that they stop making these minis and terrain altogether when the new One D&D (6e) arrives.😆 I want more Warlock Tiles everything!!! 🤩 I really hope they do something awesome, like incorporating NFC tech in their future minis to allow players to upload something unique to their digital 6e game (Nintendo Amiibos). I was also surprised to see a lot of the popular minis that are usually sold out are now available during the latest sale. Thanks for the heads up, much appreciated!! ✌️😎
@@darliniansdungeon I can understand the concern, hasboro / wotc have been making a lot of "sketchy" moves as of late. I'm an old timer, well not that old in dnd years, but im not the demographic they are after at this point, and honestly i dont really blame them. im old enough to remember when video games were released 100% finished and all the extras were either rewords for completing the game or cheat codes. when the video game industry moved to the microtransaction model i just started pirating anything i wanted to play bad enough to take the time to find. i do the same thing with dnd. im not buying more than one copy of your book because you sell it on 8 platforms, i really dont even play dnd anymore, its a mx of third party homebrew and whatever im feeling like trying that week. ill buy the miis because the players like them and it hits the collector button in my caveman brain, but they wont get more than a few hundred bucks out of me a year. I dont really like the amibo model you suggest. can you imagine having to pay 500 dollars for a tiamat figure so you and your friends can finish the module. Let them go completely digital. that way its 3-5 bucks or comes with the $30 dollar digital module. Some other company will pick up the slack in the physical realm. and if not, spend what youd pay on 1 book and a box of 4 minis and buy an entry level 3d printer. throw a starving artist or 2 5 bucks on petrean and get an endless collection of models that look far better than anything wotc will produce. thats one jaded guys opinion anyway. maybe im wrong and they are going to pull something absolutely ground breaking out, it will be affordable and change the way we play ttrpgs forever.
From Uk so these sales mean nothing to me Rip. Shipping outweighs any real deal on it. I don't play Dnd but I do like their bigger minis and been into MTG I just kinda pick some up pretending they are from that, and due to clear crossover it works. managed to get D&D Icons of Realms - Demon Queen of Fungi for £25 and also Orcus for £28 which were great deals if I do say so myself. Seems weird though, how they release them at so expensive then not long afterwards they are dirt cheap compared.
Why would anyone ever pay full price? And do any of these minis have sticking value? Cause I thought they would've.
And brick sets seem a scam? if they will just release the full set as a bundle or is there something I am missing here?
New to this side of WoTC and it seems like they have very weird practices of how they sell these. It's like how I am excited for the two headed shark but I already know to wait a month or two when it will be half price, so curious business tactic of making people not want to pre-order?
Haha I am too curious of that ravencroft collection it feels like it has to be all of them for that price though.
@thek838 I’m from Canada and can totally understand your point. 😀 The cost of international shipping doesn’t really give us much of a discount (if any), but our American friends will definitely reap the rewards on this sale!!
D&D is such a blast using minis and terrain, but I can also really appreciate how incredible MTG is. Super awesome find with the Orcus at that price (so good)!! Personally, none of the WizKids stuff is ever in sale here in Canada (never 50% off anyway). I can’t speak to opening a brick set as I haven’t purchased one. I would still rather get that full set Ravenloft $700 collection. I think some brick sets may have promo minis that you can’t get anywhere else though…but not sure. But yeah, if anyone else can speak to the bricks, please do!!
I’m not too sure about WotC practices truly, but I can say in Canada the price always seems to be at full price and when minis are gone, they’re really hard to find and get within the country. For me, this sale stood out cause I NEVER see them on sale here in Canada ✌️😄

@@comkver I did not see the video, but I do know they pushing all digital with ONE D&D. They’ll still provide the books, but they will be putting all of their efforts into ushering evryone into the digital era. I really hope @wizkidsgames releases their future minis with NFC just like the Nintendo Amiibos…giving us the ability to use them in the digital world while giving us special perks you can’t get anywhere else. There is a SERIOUSLY AMAZING opportunity @wizkidsgames to provide fans with the best of both worlds here…promoting more people to get into buying minis than ever before. How cool would it be to scan your mini with your phone and then it’s actually in-game! ✌️😎
The Kobold frameworks is difficult to build, but are very cool, love the customization.

Yes, it's totally legit. DnD mini is directly affiliated with Wizkids, in fact they're part of Wizkids. Wizkids and dndmini are currently in process of moving so shipments will potentially be slower as a result and the move is also part of why this sale is happening.
@yesmilord2350 Yes, it’s legit!! 😀 It’s weird, but it is an official WizKids website along with shop.WizKids.com. It’s been around for awhile now and both sites link banner ads to each other. You can read it in on dndmini.com in their ‘About Us’ section. ✌️😀
I spent a week using the tab sets. I put chapters on vertical side and subjects along the top of each book. The time invested was in lining each tab perfectly to each book. Love the look and ease of finding stuff quick...sometimes faster than digital tools.

Buyer beware on the brick sets! I was buying storm kings wraith alot and got at least 4 boosters out of 3 bricks that was missing miniatures. I REPEAT out of 3 full bricks there were 4 packs that did not include either a medium scale miniature or the large. One of the 4 boosters was missing a giant completely, the pack had a spot molded to fit a cloud giant but it was not in the booster
@jeffmiller3162 Ah man, that sucks to hear, but I super appreciate you sharing this with the community!! 👍 Moving forward, I’ll definitely be filming me unboxing any bricks if I get them to ensure WizKids can compensate immediately for it if something is missing (I believe they totally would if they had evidence of this). I recommend everyone do the same moving forward (record yourself unboxing with phone) so it shows evidence of a sealed box being opened, that way you’ll be able to prove if they screwed anything up. That’s so awesome of you to share your experience with us so that others are aware of that problem, very much appreciated ✌️😎
That's because the earlier sets like Storm Kings back in 2016 didn't guarantee a medium/large miniature and were therefore cheaper. Only 4 out of 8 boosters in a brick had large+ units. Only certain sets like the newer sets starting in the last few years (2020?) do that. So you got the correct bricks for that era.

@@darliniansdungeon Yeah, it sounds like JeffMiller bought the Worlds of Adventure Bundle. Out of those (4) bricks, only Mythic Odyssey of Theros guaranteed a large in every booster so you get (8) larges. The other (3) bricks only contain half the amount, so he got the correct amount with only getting (4) larges in each brick. Wizkids did this to justify the price increase from $16/booster to $20/booster. They also retroactively increased the MSRP of the older booster from pre-August of 2020 to the same number. Since then, they have special sets that guarantee a huge like Bigby's, but those boosters are $25/booster. So Wizkids didn't mess up. Buyer was just unaware of the evolution of the boosters sets.
