Are they harmless pranks that no one feelings would get hurt in the process Of course dude it will just be harmless pranks it won't be like calling a woman and saying that there's 2 people in her house about to kill her and her daughter
One time I had a scammer try and tell me that my dad had gotten into a car crash and that they were holding my dad at gunpoint to try and make me pay them. Having just moved to college, being sleep deprived and just woken up from the phone call, I was incredibly distressed. It took a solid 5 minutes for me to realize something was off and call my dad and find out he was just fine. I would never wish that on my worst enemy and I can only hope that the scammer hasn’t done this to anyone else.
@@sungod9797 it was when he asked me what my dad’s name was. I said the name and he said “yeah we got [insert name here]” If it was legit, he probably would’ve asked “is your dad’s name [his name]?”
There was an Indian scammer trying to pose as my local insurance agent, wanting to talk about a car crash I had years ago. Thing is, I have severe anxiety and I didn't get my license yet so I told him "Nice try. I don't have a car." and he hung up after swearing at me in hindi
This would have been a much more interesting premise if it were a revenge film from Mr. Lee's perspective. A completely normal guy loses everything to some asshole teenagers who suffer no repercussions because it was "just a prank", and constructs an elaborate plan for revenge. Of course then, Mr. Lee wouldn't have the advantage of being a villain in a shitty horror film, and so wouldn't have his powers of offscreen teleportation, clairvoyance, ninja powers, a mask that somehow doesn't restrict his peripheral vision, and the ability to make TVs turn on by themselves.
Jackie Chan's The Foreigner is sorta like that concept. A good man, whom he loses his daughter to some terrorists, with the police not really doing anything to bring justice to what happened, so he takes matters into his own hands. A little over the top in some aspects, and also odd seeing Jackie in this role (esp. if you're used to his more charismatic/goofy self), but not a bad movie by any means.
which is exactly what happened in a sense. dude screwed up their lives, destroyed everything that they loved, and gave them the scare of life all because they killed(well cause the death of) the people that he loved
yea, ik this comment is old but this could be a potential prank, the pranker could've told the person that they just murdered their friends and their friend's family although it's all a lie/actual prank.
I just wanted to say I really appreciate the way you take people's emotions into account when explaining what decisions they could make. It feels less like you going "these dumb idiots did everything wrong", and more like "hey, here are the real options a person could make here, let's explore them".
Cinema Summary analyzes the movie as a viewer who spends hours researching how to get out of a situation and from a third person perspective…however Nerd analyzes it as if he’s in the situation or he takes into account the average human response,
totally agree and also why I much prefer Nerd Explains' content to Cinema Summary's. It feels a lot more realistic and helps you see the characters' perspectives easier. While I think Cinema Summary is fun and somewhat educational, I don't think their content is realistic enough with the assumption that an average person would know everything they've researched for the videos.
it actually gets a lot deeper than that, its not just severe situations where people are taken by emotions but every single moment too, you would be amazed at how people manipulate eachother and what knowledge they have about the human brain what i'm trying to say is that to some specific people others are just animals that can be bypassed and have their codes manipulated, their emotions changed as easy as snapping your fingers and that you could be played at any moment even if it doesn't feel like it
I kinda want an alternative movie where the parents, Peyton, and other prank victims were teaching a lesson, presenting it as the movie went, then at the end when the back of the van opened, everyone is safe and yells “You just got pranked!” Much more satisfying
Have you seen “Follow Me”/“No Escape”? I think either this TH-cam did a video on it or channel with a similar movie summary style of videos. SPOILERS: It was about extreme escape rooms and it was this one popular d-bag youtuber’s birthday so his friends took him to the most exclusive escape room in the world, and the people running it set it up just for him. They get drugged and wake up in some near Saw-level traps and stage super real scenes of the bad guys killing the d-bag TH-camr’s friends, and he sneaks around and gets to their lil HQ and finally in the end he follows the main bad guy that drugged them in the first place into this big dark room with a spotlight on the bad guy. The D-bag TH-camr just saw his girlfriend murdered, and when he gets to the main bad guy, he confronts him with the gun and they chat for a sec with the guy trying to congratulate him but he’s been put through such trauma he truly believes he just watched all his friends die so he shoots the bad guy, and at that moment, the lights all turn on and everyone’s like “SURPRISE!!” right before being all “oh my god why’d you do that?!?!” And it turns out all his friends wanted to f with him for being such a d-bag, so they had this super elaborate “foreign guy is going to sell their bodies” or something, and they all faked their deaths with super elaborate and gruesome scenes. He was originally tasked with getting them out of the traps and had to cut open a dead body for the key for one of them and when he saw the traps was when the friend group began to realize it wasn’t a prank, so in the end after they all died trying to escape, they all come out and it’s like “naaah man my head wasn’t chopped off after my fingernails were ripped one by one!” “Pshht that was fake electricity even though it shocked you when you tried to save me, loser!” It all ended after their “surprise!!!” And seeing that he had just killed the guy orchestrating it. After all that, they realize what he just did and they all start screaming and crying. Idk if the dude even faces charges as he was clearly in a distressed state of mind and had no way to know they weren’t actually all just brutally murdered until it was too late. It was wild
I actually find that ending trite and unsatisfying. I was waiting this whole video for the whole thing to be a prank even though Mosley was legit a dead body and the two boys would’ve been able to verify if that was a real dead person from the beginning. But movies violate reality all the time to get that twist ending so I expected them to gloss over that.
@@Expo- I can get that, I just like psychological horror and fucking with people mentally, some are more gore fans. No horror movie is a one size fits all!
jokes aside that's probably the most impressive shot ever pulling it off while your in a flight or fight mode and you're too panicked to think straight in the dark but godam would it hurt to at least have SOME light if ur wielding a pistol its not like ur being that stealthy either even without some silencer to muffle the shots
As a former delivery boy, after your 1000th time delivering pizzas at night in abandoned and dark streets you really don't do quick head-turns anymore. At least in my case. You never feel quite at ease but Peyton's mistake of not being careful is forgivable in my opinion
Agreed. I worked at Domino's and both us inside staff and the drivers had to deal with some real doozies. Not *too* bad though given I live in Canada. I'm not sure I'd feel safe _anywhere_ in the USA.
I got hit with that type of prank call once, tried to tell me some crap about my dad being a hostage or something. Me, after having had a significantly horrible home life, legitimately laughed and said "keep him" which got the pranksters to break character and let me know who it was by the sound of their voices (local dumbasses doing dumb things). I then hung up and reported the call, number, and callers to the police. It was glorious.
Wouldn't the prankers' actions constitute manslaughter? I mean there were 2 deaths and they literally post their pranks online. If the father discovered and connected the dots to who caused their deaths why couldn't the police? They would absolutely be in jail. It'd be somewhat interesting however if the movie was about a prison break in to kill some prisoners as personal revenge. The movie we got was honestly very predictable but hey bonus points for seeing shithead prankers get a taste of their own medicine even if it is a bit extreme.
Idk man you expect him to turn us into the girl in "you're next" and can take on anything when in reality we're all the teenagers from "tuck and dale vs evil" accidentally killing ourselves trying to take down some weirdos that have no clue what's going on
Mr. Lee is getting a kick on his front door not too many days after the end of this movie. Left too much evidence, too many loose ends and any rookie attorney fresh out of law school can quickly dismantle the paper thin case against the kid. It's as nerd explains said. He's done as soon as Sam points the finger at him.
The implication of the movie is that of a tech savvy, patient, calculating man who could theoretically wipe footage and what not. Even if they find the man pointing the finger isnt damning evidence, oh you’ve been pranked by them? So doesn’t mean he created a revenge movie for it.
@@brianlowe904 They really don't need any footage. Let me go through a few things that can easily get Mr. Lee busted. 1. The police will quickly figure out that Sam is way too stupid to have pulled off all those killings. He also most likely has an alibi for the time Brady's parents were murdered. 2. Mr. Kolbein has a clear motive, no strong alibi and an active facebook page with his dead daughter's name full of stalker pics of the pranksters. This would quickly make him one of the prime suspects of the investigation. 3. He wouldn't have enough time to wipe all the traces of his presence in the house, or in the neighborhood, in that short amount of time. Forensics nowadays is no joke. A single hair strand, any piece of his DNA really is enough for the cops to catch him.
@@SeanTheOriginal Well, Sam isn't black or latino, nor he's working class, so I think it's a pretty safe bet that the US justice system is gonna go easy on him. Plus, yeah he might get convicted, but he's gonna win his case in court for sure if his lawyer is the least bit competent.
Effectively... This entire episode is a great reminder on why gun safety is important, and situational awareness saves lives. Unless you can hear or see police and someone tells you there's a home invader inside of your house, assume you do not have help. If you have a firearm and people to protect, do not recklessly brandish or fire your weapon. On a related note, security systems are BAE. A security camera at the front or backdoor could also have potentially stopped the premise of the movie. How? Check to see if you have alerts for motion at your front or back door. With phone apps, it shouldn't take more than a minute or two, and as she was was woken up and had the time to block her door, she could check the security camera footage quickly.
or you can stop pranking people on life and death situation for years that shit aint even funny the 2th time and they were doing it for a whole fuckin year they asked for what has happened in the movie to come its all on them.
@@pooyaarsalany4299 while what they were doing is definitely stupid and cruel, they still didn’t deserve to go through what they went through. All their friends and family are either dead or believe that they are a murderer.
@@pooyaarsalany4299 Dude. He wasn't talking about the main characters at all. This is ALL advice that people need to know if they want to keep themselves safe. I feel like you missed the point of his comment
Should have just walked out the door even with the threat to kill the parents. He's never going to just release them no matter what you do, especially after he sent you the evidence of him killing your friend as he's already looking at a life sentence for multiple kidnappings and premeditated murder, the only way he gets off is by leaving no loose ends.
It probably would've also been a good idea to slash the tires before entering the van. That way if he does get trapped inside it'll be harder for mr lee to drive off
Not really. Flat tires don't just magically stop vehicles from functioning. The van would still be drivable, it's just not normally advisable since your tires can be seriously damaged if you drive while they're flat. But obviously, that's completely irrelevant in a life or death situation. Point is, Mr. Lee would still be easily able to drive off with the van.
@@thelemurofmadagascar9183 You make a valid point but I would like to point out that I said it would be harder to drive off, not impossible. Driving with a flat can also make the car more difficult to control and (in mr lee's case) attract unwanted attention. With how meticulously he's laid out his plans, if he were to drive off in the van he would likely want to change the tire which would waste time. Not something he'd be very fond of since it's parked on the other side of the street in front of someone else's home.
It really does seem like Mr. Lee after losing his wife and daughter, went the deep end and ended up killing Peyton and Brad's parents just because they were the parents of his family's killers. The main characters had what was coming to them, their parents didn't deserve that assuming they weren't aware of their children's behavior.
6:31 I've seen a video of a man(who's wife just passed) arguing with his neighbors about something and the neighbors insulted his recently deceased wife and he infact did exactly that. It was brutal and definitely uncalled for, but when people lose the most important person too them they tend to act irrational.
@retsaM innavoiG come o, the fact it makes you a POS doesn't mean you should get killed for it. Really few things should and what boils down to offending/disrespecting people should under no circumstance ever justify murder, how fucked up are you?
the confidence in local police being willing to investigate these random flimsy accusations towards unknown individuals is a bit far fetched, even with proof most of the time its hard to get any action from officials on matters... just saying
As long as he remembered that Mr Colbine was the murderer and that Izzy is the name of the Facebook profile that has stalked them, Mr Colbine was definitely going to get caught. He left a victim alive AND told him exactly why he did it.
The local police aren't that bad in Columbia, let alone the United States. There is absolutely no universe where they wouldn't almost immediately recognize that the kid is innocent and Lee was the murderer. There is an enormous mountain of evidence against Lee, and the cops aren't just gonna run some teen through kangaroo court in the case of a _quintuple homicide._ The case would make national news the next morning, it's not the kind of thing that gets casually ended based on some random dude's assumptions when he first got there. Even if the cops killed the kid on arrival because he was waving a gun around and he wasn't there to provide his testimony, it would be absolutely ludicrous for the police to assume that he was the one who murdered all of them.
Idk, I've watched enough true crime videos here on TH-cam and there are quite a few cases where the police are shit and searching for easy answers instead of looking at all the evidence.
I really like the core message of the movie. Building a life need a lot of time in energy, but to destroy everything you literally just need a day or maybe even one second.
another reason kolbein would’ve been caught fairly quickly afterwards is if peyton called the cops and it WAS Sam then she would’ve likely said “my ex is trying to kill me” instead of possibly saying “there’s someone trying to kill me, my ex and his friend”
While I'm sure Kolbein would've been caught, I'm also fairly certain Sam would still have ended up in jail with charges of either manslaughter or negligent homocide for both the death of the little girl as well as the direct death of Bret.
I had a scammer experience. Basically, a bunch of scammers called my home telephone and told my grandma that I was injured in school and she needed to transfer money to them. She panicked, so she told my dad. Dad then called my school and confirmed that I wasn't injured. He then called the scammers back and proceeded to berate them. He's a businessman so the scammers probably got our home number from there or something
In the beginning of the movie you should have taken into consideration that being asleep makes you more vulnerable to critical events like this. It is easier to panic and make worse decisions.
I take such great vicarious pleasure in the failures of people whose everyday idiom and motto is "Just a prank BRUH." This takes that sentiment to an 11/10. Excellent explanations.
Ya but they would have pled down. They could probably afford a good lawyer. They are young. They are white. Everything would be against them doing time.
Suggestion: a How to Beat the Infected in "Crossed". I know it's not a movie (and it'll probably never be), but it'd be cool to see how you'd face an apocalypse where the zombies can use guns and plan ambushes
@@gtbjay9495 That's pretty much what happened in Crossed. The comics state the human population dropped to about 2 million (not counting about 100 million infected) just one year after the initial outbreak
@@acat6145 Yep, that's one of the scariest traits of the Crossed. Not only do they use common tactics like ambushing or trying to flank you during a shoot-out, but they can also dip their bullets with their bodily fluids (since getting in contact with them is how you get infected in this universe) and shoot you in the leg during a fight, so you can turn and attack your buddies and spare them ammo and time. Besides, once you get infected you still retain all the knowledge you had before, so for example, if a guy who knew how to launch a nuclear strike gets turned, he'll still know how, which unfortunetely happened a lot during the early days of the outbreak, to the point of most of the Middle East and parts of America being completely uinhabitable radioactive wastelands
8:55 Even my brother's kids know to ask who it is before opening the door. My nephew (the oldest) has always been tall, so he was able to reach up to unlock the front door before he had the sense not to do it for just anyone knocking. Since I lived close by and visited frequently, I made it a point to teach the kiddos. If I came over and they opened the door without asking who it was (even if they knew I was coming, it still might not have actually been me at the door!), I would make them close the door again so that I could knock, they could ask who it was, and then I would answer before they opened it again. That should be a standard thing kids learn.
This movie is the best explanation for the phrase "never negotiate with terrorists". Mr Lee obviously does not have your best interests at heart. Playing along is you betting everything on the idea that he's going to feel bad for you and let you go eventually even after he's shown that he's more than willing to kill innocent people
I think one thing you heavily overlooked is the very high probability that the police would brush them off because they'll find their youtube channel and see the things they make and think it's fake, that probably wouldn't happen IRL, but in films that happens plenty of times, and would most likely happen here.
There have quite literally been real world cases of the police investigating fake TH-cam videos, regardless if they thought it was real or not... Christ alive bud directors of movies have gone to court because some nobody thought the death in their movie was real...
@@SkylerHatesAlice That is why I said "that probably wouldn't happen IRL" ... You have misunderstood what I was saying, I was saying that IN FILMS if it showed us police seeing it they would probably assume it's fake as that is something I have seen in films and have never seen the opposite, however if it was real life they would probably take it more seriously, please make sure you understand what is being said before responding, thanks!
@@RandomPerson-sh9tu I cant see what skyler typed but your original comment is still trash since its totally unnecessary since the video is about realistic outcomes.
@@eeurr1306 Sorry, ik I didn't make it clear but I wasn't trying to say it was impossible either, in fact, I have no CLUE how they handle it irl, but i'd like to assume they would care, though I have no idea, but it's certainly still a possibility IRL, and if the video is about outcomes that can actually happen, that is still a potential outcome, though not sure how likely it is, though definitely still a possibility.
Also I'd say there's 2 ways to interpret the video, 1 is how you would beat it if it happened irl, and the other would be if you were actually a part of it. It's not very clear which, so I interpret these videos as being how you would survive if you were IN the films, and in the films this is what would most likely happen, just depends on your perspective really.

I can forgive the wife for making mistakes. Maybe except for accepting an anonymous call. But if I was in her situation and got a call at night from where I only recently woke up from, only to inform me im basically in danger I wouldn't be thinking straight. I would feel disoriented and afraid, and the added fact that my daughter is apparently dead would not help me calm down and think rationally. And I doubt she has even experience dealing with this. Sure, there are people who can handle this situation rationally but its not something I would personally expect from everyone. Hmmm... But yes I do admit the police not having their sirens is odd and maybe the wife could suspect something. Oh well.
@@alandouglas2789 she woke up in the middle of the night. Im not saying that her mind become goo but at least you should feel a bit groggy when you wake up much earlier than expected. I've seen worse in the spur of the moment and from people who depend on something like coffee to get around in the morning. Unfortunately the wife is a completely realistic scenario and even to and through the flick shot is not impossible.
I mean actively looking for intruders when you're told they are armed seems stupid since they also said that her daughter is dead so no use in looking for her, she could have just stayed in the room with the gun trained on the door. even if you are disoriented you wouldn't go explore unless you've been trained to do so like a veteran or ex swat or something
I find his explanations quite realistic. Whereas CS likes to fantasize more which sometimes lead him to make some questionable claims and solutions! Tbh Mr Lee isn't the bad guy here, granted what they did to prank his wife to accidentally kill their daughter was accidental, but it wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for their prank.
If your wife is that dumb to immediately accept the reality of a phone call then she would have done something harmful to her daughter at some point. I mean when would the police EVER call you? They would definitely not know if strangers were in your house and them getting your phone number would be a multi step process. Plus the lady must know where her daughters bedroom is so why would she shoot someone leaving, not entering it? It would take moronic levels of ineptitude to actually fall victim to this exact prank not to mention no one would ever answer a random number.

With how elaborate his prank was I am 100% sure he left an unbreakable alibi behind so he wouldn't get caught. Even if he didn't, his revenge was served.
honestly it probably depends on how thorough the investigation team is going to be. Like if everybody around sam would easily assume he is guilty including his parents mr.lee is likely to get away with it. But if people around sam would be sure sam is innocent and would fight for proof off that there is a chance they would figure out the truth. Problem is a bit tho that everybody but sam who encoutered mr.lee is death. And with sam being a known prankster its likely that they assume he is a good liar so him framing a random person will not make people bat an eye. So it 100% depends on if other people in sams circle that didnt encouter mr.lee would be willing to fight to prove sams innocence. If not then he is likely not getting out off it.
I had gotten prank called a few years ago. I was told my sister was in a car accident, and had suffered severe injuries that were possibly life-threatening. I am an only child.
Using a bat to check a van is a bad idea unless you're going to use it in a stabbing attack, not enough room to swing, in addition blunt stabs are relatively useless when dealing with someone wants you dead.
I liked the previous background music more. It makes the videos sound more mysterious and full of caution. This music sounded more like regular pub music. I felt myself more focussed on the beats of the background music than what was actualy being said, to be honest. :/
How to beat “Don’t Hang Up” just don’t fuckin prank call people and traumatize them, even if they called the cops they probably wouldn’t believe them if they knew who they were because the police don’t want to have to deal with a bunch of prank callers

Shitty as those “pranks” were, this entire movie could’ve been prevented with proper firearm handling/common sense. Seemingly stressful situations like that are why you become a gun owner in the first place-so the fact that Mr. Lee’s dead wife had a child and still couldn’t be bothered to learn how to safely handle/discharge her gun, that was on HER. Obviously I wouldn’t expect Mr. Lee to see it like that but yeah
That was super frustrating. The mother doesn't get a pass, she shot her kid. She wasn't competent enough to handle a gun and shouldn't have had it. So stupid.
@@lL338 Exactly. Every death in this movie can be directly or indirectly traced back to her misuse of a firearm. The fact that you’re a mother and still didn’t bother learning to use the gun properly means you were ASKING to become a statistic.

Guy: Uhhhh WAT? *hangs up* I know ALL the cops in my town no joke here. I think I freaked the guy out. lol
The 1st phone prank call for the woman at 3:23 a.m., she is tired and basicaly just woke up when she answered the call, so it clearly means she wouldn't be thinking straight it's like you wake up on a hospital bed and the first words you hear are "Oh you've waken up and you're parents are dead."
the first thing i thought when he said, "He knows their names, addresses, the flag Brady's parents put up in front of their house, that right now Brady is at Sam's house, and he knows that hours ago he pranked their neighbor Larry." was 'Oh my god it's Jim Browning'

Are they harmless pranks that no one feelings would get hurt in the process
Of course dude it will just be harmless pranks it won't be like calling a woman and saying that there's 2 people in her house about to kill her and her daughter
What tipped you off to be suspicious? And who did the scammer claim to be?
I've had scammers tell me my son got into a car accident.
I'm not even married let alone had kids.
@@sungod9797 it was when he asked me what my dad’s name was. I said the name and he said “yeah we got [insert name here]”
If it was legit, he probably would’ve asked “is your dad’s name [his name]?”
There was an Indian scammer trying to pose as my local insurance agent, wanting to talk about a car crash I had years ago. Thing is, I have severe anxiety and I didn't get my license yet so I told him "Nice try. I don't have a car." and he hung up after swearing at me in hindi
I'd take an Amazon scam over that one any day
This would have been a much more interesting premise if it were a revenge film from Mr.
Seems like it would be rather close to what Law Abiding Citizen is.
Kind of like the equaliser but with more of a Halloween style character when in action
Nah I have a better idea. Mr Lee is a cult leader and pro hacker. He traffics kids and sells organs. Bye

Note to self don't be a douchebag
to tell the truth i am rooting for the killer on this one, in fact I am laughing each time one of these pranksters gets brutally murdered
which is exactly what happened in a sense. dude screwed up their lives, destroyed everything that they loved, and gave them the scare of life all because they killed(well cause the death of) the people that he loved
"You murdered my friends, my friends family, and framed me for their murder"
"It's just a prank bro"
"oh ok it's fine"
Could you tell me all of Peyton's personality in the movie? even if she appears little
yea, ik this comment is old but this could be a potential prank, the pranker could've told the person that they just murdered their friends and their friend's family although it's all a lie/actual prank.
I just wanted to say I really appreciate the way you take people's emotions into account when explaining what decisions they could make. It feels less like you going "these dumb idiots did everything wrong", and more like "hey, here are the real options a person could make here, let's explore them".
Wow, these were the EXACT words i said to my friend when i was explaining why Nerd is better than Cinema Summary…the legit EXACT words
@@roderickcousins8733 it's so true! It feels pretty positive instead of dismissive and that matters to me a lot.
While I think Cinema Summary is fun and somewhat educational, I don't think their content is realistic enough with the assumption that an average person would know everything they've researched for the videos.
it actually gets a lot deeper than that, its not just severe situations where people are taken by emotions but every single moment too, you would be amazed at how people manipulate eachother and what knowledge they have about the human brain
what i'm trying to say is that to some specific people others are just animals that can be bypassed and have their codes manipulated, their emotions changed as easy as snapping your fingers
and that you could be played at any moment even if it doesn't feel like it
I kinda want an alternative movie where the parents, Peyton, and other prank victims were teaching a lesson, presenting it as the movie went, then at the end when the back of the van opened, everyone is safe and yells “You just got pranked!”
Much more satisfying
And then the pranksters get hit with a manslaughter charge and go to prison. That's justice.
Have you seen “Follow Me”/“No Escape”?
I think either this TH-cam did a video on it or channel with a similar movie summary style of videos.
SPOILERS:
It was about extreme escape rooms and it was this one popular d-bag youtuber’s birthday so his friends took him to the most exclusive escape room in the world, and the people running it set it up just for him. He was originally tasked with getting them out of the traps and had to cut open a dead body for the key for one of them and when he saw the traps was when the friend group began to realize it wasn’t a prank, so in the end after they all died trying to escape, they all come out and it’s like “naaah man my head wasn’t chopped off after my fingernails were ripped one by one!” “Pshht that was fake electricity even though it shocked you when you tried to save me, loser!”
It all ended after their “surprise!!!” And seeing that he had just killed the guy orchestrating it.
After all that, they realize what he just did and they all start screaming and crying.
Idk if the dude even faces charges as he was clearly in a distressed state of mind and had no way to know they weren’t actually all just brutally murdered until it was too late. It was wild
@@andyhighroller8217 I’ll add that to my movie list, but the list of movies I actually will watch instead of just wanting people to stop talking

How many innocent people are convicted each year with better lawyers?
@@SeanTheOriginal Well, Sam isn't black or latino, nor he's working class, so I think it's a pretty safe bet that the US justice system is gonna go easy on him.
Plus, yeah he might get convicted, but he's gonna win his case in court for sure if his lawyer is the least bit competent.
@@theazureknight9399 Uh, Sam isn’t stupid. It’s simply not possible for him to have committed all these crimes.

Ok

Everything can be destroyed much faster than it takes to be created
Can confirm. Was 30 days late on credit cards....it dropped my score 208 points. They were litterally paid off the very next week.
another reason kolbein would’ve been caught fairly quickly afterwards is if peyton called the cops and it WAS Sam then she would’ve likely said “my ex is trying to kill me” instead of possibly saying “there’s someone trying to kill me, my ex and his friend”

There have quite literally been real world cases of the police investigating fake TH-cam videos, regardless if they thought it was real or not... Christ alive bud directors of movies have gone to court because some nobody thought the death in their movie was real...

I remember me and my cousin just picked this movie to watch at random. And we were both at the edge of our seats through out. Pretty good movie.
LMAO "Getting a lucky first skill then quitting quick to savor the glory and rob the better player of getting the satisfaction of revenge." I know that one all too well.

Tbh Mr Lee isn't the bad guy here, granted what they did to prank his wife to accidentally kill their daughter was accidental, but it wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for their prank.
Hah I can’t believe I’m the first one to reply, and I see you everywhere !!!
@@Expo- our brains don't work the same under intense stress. Hence why a teenage girl on her period doesn't think as effectively due to hormones but otherwise would.

Hi nerd explains. I really like the format you been using for newer videos where you also summerized the movie and plot from beginning to end as you go on. It really makes watching your videos of movies we haven't seen that movie much more enjoyable. Your older method where you just dissect a movie randomly and jump from parts to parts within the movie can be confusing for those that never seen the movie . Thanks and please keep up this new format of summerizing the movie plot and story. Subbed!

The most unbelievable thing in this movie is a house having a land line in 2017.
That is not unbelievable. I have a landline in 2022, and I know other people who do.
@@gaila.9852 I have one
With how elaborate his prank was I am 100% sure he left an unbreakable alibi behind so he wouldn't get caught.
Even if he didn't, his revenge was served.
No fake alibi is “unbreakable.”
honestly it probably depends on how thorough the investigation team is going to be.
That first "prank" telling that lady her daughter got butchered and she was next is something I actually expect from prank channels here on youtube.
i know it hurts my head
then why watch the video if u can just listen to the beats alone lmao?
How to beat “Don’t Hang Up” just don’t fuckin prank call people and traumatize them, even if they called the cops they probably wouldn’t believe them if they knew who they were because the police don’t want to have to deal with a bunch of prank callers
Y'all actually morons if you think the cops wouldn't investigate someone impersonating a cop. Gee it's not like that's literally an illegal thing to do or anything, what the hell dude
Tbh the entire time I was convinced it was going to be an ending where secretly EVERYONE was in on the prank aside from the two main dudes

Just started, and I assume this is supposed to be a cathartic movie where you hope for the pranksters to die
If that was me, the movie would be over in a few minutes. Pranker calls, I don't pick up, phone goes to voice-mail. Screen cuts to 1 month later. I'm checking my voice-mail when the i hear the pranker message, *message marked for deletion.* The end.
After a long week of school, I can finally relax and watch another how to beat with the survival nerd. Love the vid, hope you are doing good

@@matheusguedes9847 Seems to be the generic collage girl. They only care about looks, have a pretty bad job, most likely immature, etc, etc. It's pretty obvious the girl was only put there to bring conflict and drama, they were never meant to be a fleshed-out character, so it makes sense for her to be a stereotype. I didn't watch the movie however so I could be wrong by a lot, and it turns out she was a CIA agent assigned to kill Sam's father which was a drug lord in Mexico. Would've been a much cooler movie.
You gotta love how Hollywood is so inconsistent with who can and cannot competently operate a firearm in their movies. It’s almost like they have a child’s understanding of how firearms training works and forget that you need to go through actual training classes before you even get a license to own said firearms.
@retsaM innavoiG no you need a license
@retsaM innavoiG no you need a liscense and training to purchase a firearm. Real life does not operate how online propaganda portrays it.

I miss the music you used before *-* but well done ma dude for the 1 mils
And now I'm actually caught up on every single how to beat video
This is the first movie I seen you analyze where I straight up root for the villain.
i can understand Mr. Lee on this.
he's a good example of watch who you screw with because you may not walk away from it.
Im fully with Mr Lee on this one! This is exactly the kind of response people should have for messed up pranks! Just do it back but infinitely worse!
If everyone does it? Then this pranking will stop eventually
I dont hold it against anyone who physically harms a prankster
So happy this guy made 1 mil he acc deserves it after these videos, I’ve seen all of them man so keep it up 👍🏼
6:29 no idea why that cracks me up
hat's whole problem. Pranks when I was young were like ringing bell and escaping, minor pranks at school or calling PEOPLE YOU KNEW from hidden number in the middle of night or sth w/ bad jokes or just waking them up on camp shouting nonsense requests (they were usually too confused to realize nonsense of them). Sometimes just waking them up in middle of the night tricking them into thinking it's morning so they just casually dress up, brush teeth and leaver room hurrying somewhere till they realize. We didn't really insult anybody and only biggest assholes were not caring about if pranked person feels good after prank
"Pranks" now are made by people who have no respect for actually good humor, people's safety, people's mental health or some standards in society.

Not even two minutes and all my sympathy has evaporated for the true antagonists of this movie. Retribution, please, dawn upon us.
Antagonist means someone who opposes the main character. You can have villain protagonists and hero antagonists.

@@cormacb2326Sam and Colby caused th deaths of a little girl and a loving mother. they deserve all that came to them
Shitty as those “pranks” were, this entire movie could’ve been prevented with proper firearm handling/common sense.
Was it a missfire or was it the mother shooting at the door before realising it was a prank (i have not seen the movie)
@@OK-yy6qz Bad wording choice-I didn’t mean literally misfire as in the gun didn’t go off-that would’ve been ideal here, but I meant misfire as in backfire. As in you got the worst result possible in the given situation. The fact that she shot at a threat she couldn’t visually identify while knowing there was also a child in the house is beyond irresponsible and is just fatally stupid. Again, as a gun owner and a parent, there should have been SOME kind of preparation for such an incident-but nah she just decides to completely ignore multiple gun safety rules and proceeds to fire her gun blindly at any given noice with the full knowledge she has a daughter potentially moving about. Honestly a situation like this could’ve happened to the family without the prank call at all with firearm handling like that.
@@ambassadorbruh1200 ok i get it now and i agree that she was totally irresponsible for firing without even seeing who she was firing at .
To be fair she did believe her daughter was dead but still she definitely shouldn't fire like that
When im done with everything in this channel I will be invincible. Thank you for teaching me how to survive all things.
A good way to disrupt mr lee’s sight or hearing would be to go to different rooms of the house and pretend they’re being helpless and answering mr lee’s questions but covering the mic so he can’t hear you. this way you can get the best possible way of fending off someone who 1 wants to toy with you, 2 knows where you are, 3 is on the phone with you, 4 has your friends parents held hostage
First movie I’ve heard about where the main characters actually deserved their fates. Sure, one could argue that they are just teens who love cruel jokes, but at the very least, they are sociopaths with little regard for the pain they cause their victims. I definitely think Mr. Lee should at least get a life sentence for his crimes, but let’s face it; those assholes had it coming lol
Payton and brads parents didn’t deserve distal tho bruh. They weren’t involved in the situation at all
@@gaaratf2fanboy76 But they raised those kids, didn’t they? And look at what they did. They thought their fucked up pranks were funny. That’s evidence of bad parenting. And we can all agree that if they never had children, they would still be alive, wouldn’t they? Sorry if some details are off. I haven’t see this vid in a while. And I’ve never seen the movie.
@@jaykerzp3643 i get that mr lee wanted to kill brad and the people connected to him. But let’s not pretend like he killed the parents because they wronged him. He just did it because they were brads family.
@@gaaratf2fanboy76 I mean yeah, obviously they didn’t wrong him directly but they are responsible for how their children turn out and their children shouldn’t have thought it was funny to do the shit they were doing. That shows an extreme lack of empathy, a sign of bad parenting.
@@jaykerzp3643 Why do you think Mr. Lee's family had it coming too? They are terrible parents with complete lack of empathy, Mr Lee is a complete sociopath. If they never had kids everyone would be alive too. If their friends deserved it for being friends with them, the mother deserved it for being with Mr Lee plotting these murders over a year. Can't save the child because she is being raised by bad parents

"I have everyone not in my contacts auto-blocked." "worth it not to get spam calls." love it. Truly do. But how? I do the same thing and still get spam calls.
"If the emergency services need me, they'll call me"
...you have the fire department, police, and hospital in your contacts?
As someone who deals with these calls for USAF, I recommend you do in fact continue to answer the calls. It might be a good idea to even call back. The more information you can gather from someone the better. People like this tend to give out info haphazardly.
The Psycho Pranker may have never existed in the first place if the police had done their job right after his wife and child's death. Surely the cops would have investigated the cause of the deaths and brought Sam and his friends to justice. Unless the movie is saying that Mr Kolbein did not report the deaths to the police and got rid of the bodies quietly.
