Hi Avegel; From where I'm sitting it seems ALL Sandys (including the one sitting next to you) are good looking and rather talented ;- ) Back to this music. This style of Iranian music is called "Bandari". It derives from areas along the Persian Gulf in furthest part of southern Iran. They more often than not tend to be upbeat as you have just heard. The very important thing to realise is that the star instrument of this type of music is a Bagpipe which is clearly absent in this video. One reason, I feel may be because sadly it is a dying skill; or maybe the artists in this field feel that they have to evolve into the mainstream Pop-music sounding version in order to survive or thrive. Anyway, my point is that if you don't see or detect PROPER Bagpipe in this style of music, then it is not original Bandari music. I still enjoyed it and thank you both for venturing further into Iranian music.
