I went to auditions for sop n he was one of the judges n he was friendly n made me to relax n he loved my voice n i was in round 2 n through out the process I could c how much of a positive energy he carried arnd him, even though I ddnt make it through he gave me courage to never stop worshipping God, RIP Pastor Neyi Zimu 🙏

I’m Zimbabwe and when this song was released I was in the middle of confusion, I needed finances to go to school and I had applied and gotten a place but the finances were not there. I was praying and fasting though I was confused and losing hope then boom this song was released. I didn’t understand it but it caught my spirit right the moment I heard it. When I later translated it, it was just confirmation that God needed me to trust him during that time and I started trusting him that he was crafting something and now I’m at school in my final year. I hope he knew that he did not only touch the lives of South Africans but also across the world. Thank you Neyi for allowing God to use you. I’ll always remember you. Rest well

Funny that when I heard the news of Neyi’s passing I felt immense pain for Omega poor guy....I was used to seeing their friendship play in front of our eyes. You will regain strength Omega and carry on. The lord will comfort all of us who were touched by his ministry and the family.

I am from St. Kitts in the Caribbean and I have fallen in Love with Spirit of Praise and all their music for years now. Especially me and my daughter listens to Zimu; Modimo Ke O and she loves it. I have been trying to avoid his music ever since I heard of his death last year but his music is so powerful that I cant any more. I did that because I was trying to avoid the hurt as I lost both my mom and sister in December as well. I am Trinidad right now on Cricket Tour and I cant stop crying. I cant hold it anymore. God Bless you Pastor Neyi Zimu and just know that your music hit deep inside the Caribbean and its done its job. My 9 year old daughter love your music and me and my wife celebrated your passing in Jesus Name. I am a Zambian and the first time(last year) I listened to Jehovah Retsepile song I worshipped almost the whole night and since I was the praise team coordinator for the great UCC praise team at UNZA we decided to sing this song on one of the Sundays, people were greatly ministered to.
All I am trying to say is that Neyi Zimu touched the lives of many world wide. We will greatly miss you sir. RIP our hearts are broken.

I came across Neyi 3 years ago at my lowest lowest times grieving my brother’s death by car accident. I live way too far from home, and SA gospel has always been my favourite to worship to, more especially when it’s the language I understand, am from Botswana and Neyi sang a lot in Sotho/Tswana. God this man helped me go through that awful season. I will never forget him or listening to his songs on my way to church or school crying in a public transit. Very very devastating to lose such a talent...
A year later and I still cried when Omega began to share his relationship with Pastor Neyi. Heavens have a whole vibe up there.!! Such a loss😪

I have been enjoying listening to him and Omega singing together as well as the Spirit of Praise group. I can't understand when thy sing in their African language but nevertheless, I would dance behind my laptop and even sing one or two words that were repeated as if I understood what I was singing!
