This recording is from Ensemble Musica Negativa's 4-disc box set 'Music for Revolution." Also included in the set are Ichiyanagi's "Life Music" and performances of works by Christian Wolff, Morton Feldman, John Cage and Earle Brown.

His music sounds like a construction site, around concrete barriers, it conjures men in hard hats trying to get the work accomplish...but NEVER can.

I believe I actually heard this music before in a movie about the Japanese ghost stories written by Lafcadio Hearn but I cannot remember what the movie was called.. one of the characters in it was named Huichi.

Kirby Strider Just Google it. It’s what I always do. But on the other hand waiting to see when the reply shows up, checking in every day or so. Then maybe every couple of weeks, and then finally, you forget, other things happen, you’re preoccupied with something that came up, and then one day after you’ve finished whatever it was that called for attention, you sit in a quiet moment relaxing and suddenly you remember you haven’t checked in on that Kaiden thing in ages. laughing, you walk over to your computer anticipating an answer-or not. After all it’s been a long time since you even remembered to check in. I like that. It’s so sophisticated. To have just looked it up on google, quickly like that is just so pedestrian, such lack of finesse, so....so....well, it’s like not having cocktails with friends before dinner. When was the last time you ever did that!? So I get your point-looking things up on Google, mindlessly does lack elegance, is graceless, and the warm embrace of being part of the Whole. I have learned a lot from you just now. Thank you with all my heart for returning to me a sense of light and shade. ( a reference to Enid Bagnol’s “The Chalk Garden”)
