I flat-mounted the Starlink on my van's roof. That's where my Starlink lives and takes up no storage space inside the van. I just turn on the inverter when I need to use the Starlink. I canceled my Telstra Nighthawk 4G device which cost $94/mth for 300GB data/mth, so the $174/mth for unlimited data through Starlink was the better deal for me and Starlink works everywhere too.
Thank you 😊🙏we would be interested to see your installation of the starlink on the roof 🤩yes it does seem worthwhile paying the extra for the reliability 🤩🚐
There will always be niggling issues but you have done an amazing job with the van. I've loved watching the build and can't wait to see the starlink installation, which I'm sure will be in the not too distant future. Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed this one.
Great open honest video we I guys - Starlink so expensive but will make it so useful when your out and about I am sure Lol scared of the ‘orange dust’ - don’t do it - hide 😂
You all have been doing this for a while now. So many great lessons you all teach on your channel. I am glad that you channel is seeing continued success because again, you all deserve it! Happy Easter!
I did a white matte sink first time round and it got black marks and looked horrible in no time and nothing would clean it. I switched it to a black metal sink which is so much better. Also just ripped out my Dometic Heki skylight as it was leaking and the inside cover kept falling off and ripped out the leads to the light so light stoped working, love the skylight concept for light and breeze but switched to an Ozvent and quality is so much better and half the price. Also love the RV labs Latches for the uppers but the drawer ones broke in no time but I’ve been told by the owner they’ve since changed the design but I’ve found a better product. Vans always need renovations with the constant moving and bumpy roads but such a fun way to live :)
I've watched a lot of these van build video series from several channels... News flash, life has regrets, regardless of your dwelling.😉😁😁The van looks great.👍 Can't wait to see the adventures.😁
Pablo! 🥰 Good summation of the build. I knew as time goes on and needs change you will be tweaking the van. Excited to see your adventures and new innovations. Stay safe and GOD bless
Loved this with my burnt crumpets, wish i had your skills,i think your van is amazing debs xx ps if my husband built one,it would NOT end up a camper van lol.
Hey hey guys 🤗 Shitty on the wifi situation for sure , n oh snap I never knew starlink was that pricey 🤦🏽♀️ We literally just bought a DeWalt hand held vacuum, spending a lot of time in our small space a vacuum is just faster . I was wondering if u guys would regret taking the AC out 🤦🏽♀️, happy to hear u got it sorted out 😉 Lol Tim I'm surprised ur not traumatized n u don't still sleep with a bucket lmao Oh good to know about the Cubord latches 👍🏽 Ah shitty we have a black matt sink 🤦🏽♀️ Lol just told Terry we need more plug sockets 😉😜 Ahhhh makes sense about the back cushions 😉😉 Lmao Sandy ...omword .. . Terry's famous saying is "it will be fine " 😜 untill it's not ,🤦🏽♀️I'm all about having a back up for everything .... Water filters batteries , food lol Totally appreciate this video guys 👍🏽 Love u both 💫🙏💞 Thanks for sharing ur journey
Great to see that you have a to do list as well to tick off, I have a procrastination list to put off till tomorrow, lol My house batteries just died recently after 11 years which is not a bad life, prolonged with my seven-stage battery charger for when I'm plugged in sometimes. I changed mine in the Cairns Central car park and I had leaks on my roof from when I had my solar panels changed and the old holes weren't plugged properly so if you want something done you gotta do it yourself. I ended up getting some aluminium strips filling the holes with sticky flex then pop riveting the aluminium strips on top of the holes with more sticky flex then pop riveted them until the sticky flex squeezed out of the sides, smooth over the whole lot. Then I discovered another leak around my hatch complements of cyclone Jasper. Home renovations is an ongoing task but it's great that we can do it on the road and change our minds. Once I'm on the age pension I can sit at free campsites for as long as I want to let my money go into the bank then spend it on more renovations. Enjoy your freedom, fellow traveller Kelvin PS We are both subscribed, so looking forward to some new adventures.🙂
Thank you kelvin 🤩🚐🙏yes it’s an ongoing thing keeping the van together on the road , it’s always fun to find new problems after being on the dirt roads and corrugations 🤦♂️🚐
Thx, first time seeing your channel. Although I'm not getting a campervan, those tips are awesome. Here I was thinking I didn't need a vac, wrong, it's now on my list! Lots of other useful stuff, particularly about the cushions behind you. I'm replacing mine, as I absolutely don't want to remove the cushions every time I lower the drop-down bed - now I'm going to use the pillows from that bed as my back rests - win win! I still haven't made up my mind about network... that was interesting about your router and the closed van! That's a question I'll be asking now when I go to get my network system (whatever it is).
Great video! Have you guys checked out marine/boat latches? Or marine/boat hatches for skylight? Is the black sink metal? Pillows are a great idea!! Safe travels!!
I'm so far behind on your videos, I guess you have no choice to get starlink if your out in the boondocks. We have a 12volt vacuum that works with our portable bluetti power pack. Thanks for sharing have a good day.
Did you use Living in a Bubble for the front window screens? We have a 2005 Sprinter in Brisbane and are wondering if they fit the van as Living in a Bubble only go back to 2007 Sprinters. Thanks!😀
We used window covers from southern state campervans www.sscampervans.com/shop/#!/SOLARscreen-cabin-set-Sprinter-1996-2006/p/130869681/category=25292654
Thanks for that! Been looking for a while. Might see you on the road around SE QLD :) Love the channel. Thumbs up goes to the Metallica/Disturbed T-shirts 🎸
@@SandVan Thank you for the link. In case another European comes across this thinking that looks good but surely the irony of importing a self-labelled "Aussie Traveller...Roof Hatches are designed with the European style" back into Europe is going to cost even more than the simple dollars and cents, a reverse image search throws up an identical looking unit on AliExpress. Which will ship globally rather than importing an already exported item from even further away (to Eur): www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006287735802.html Much appreciate this, as have been looking at same-same to install in a forthcoming build, as well as your other tips (but really no aircon in AU!?!?!?). Cheers! A Pommie.

Hello Mike 😊🙏
Great video! Have you guys checked out marine/boat latches? Or marine/boat hatches for skylight? Is the black sink metal? Pillows are a great idea!! Safe travels!!
Thank you 😊🙏we’ll definitely look at the marine hatches 🤩the sink is a composite one 😬
We take a Rechargeable Shark on the road. NO not a Baby Shark 🤣🤣 Too much power needed for a built in Vac. Come to Scotland it is freezing here.
Thank you David , sounds like a good product 😊🙏we might just go to Scotland 🤔🏴
By the way there’s a picture of your sticker coming soon to your inbox ❤️

Hopefully by the time I'm doing van life, a competitor for Starlink will have emerged. I don't like the idea of making Elon Musk richer.
Thank you 😊🙏totally agree there needs to be a competitor
