Hola Rodrigo, thank you for the discover of this beautiful version! But I'm not sure that it should be attributed to Lynn and the Jets because that of The Sonny Bradshaw Seven (You Tube) is strictly identic and appears on disk in the Trojan Sixties Box Set released at Trojan records in 2004 ...Who is the true artist of this version ? Daniel Popp, son of André Popp, composer of Love is blue, died 3 years ago.
I had an informative exchange by mail with Brian Keyo of the site Tallawah.com, who confirm that Lynn Taitt to the guitar game so characteristic, is indeed the interpreter of this version. It sounds crazy, but Trojan Records made a credit mistake in his compilation, assigning this version to Sonny Bradshaw !! The site of Brian, expert in Jamaican music - quite remarkable, a real gold mine for lovers of rocksteady !! - specifies that the disc of Lynn (Federal Records FED 7124 was released in 1968.
Thanks for confirming what I suspected. Taitt did some of his very best rocksteady recordings in 1968 before he left Jamaica for Canada in August that year.
Lynn Taitt all the way from trinidad 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹

Can you say what year this recording was made and released?

This is happening a lot lately, specially regarding recently passed musicians from this genre. (lee perry, toots, sir dodd, and many more)
i mean, suddenly a lot of previously unknown tracks are being uploaded licenced to suspicious music rights societies.
still... ;)
Not one of Lynn's better offerings. Sounds like a funeral march.
Check out Group Solo's version with Robert McDonald Bailey on his Hammond organ.
