    Maybe Nc3 is slightly better than exf5..but thanks for making think about this for both sides.. I almost never face 2.e4 when I dutch it.. I gotta try 2... d5 making holes everywhere in my position but enticing my aggressive opponent into thinking I'm a partner lol😂

    Anna, I need help. I have been playing chess since 2017. I have been attending the chess club since October 2022. Before my attendance, I wasn't playing very good chess, so I feel that I've wasted my time. I went from 650 up to 840. Since then I dropped to 550 over a month. Im not sure what I am doing wrong. I am following the basic fundamentals like castling, trying to take the 4 middle squares, dispersing my pieces on the board and leaving the queen until later on in the game. I feel like I have chess blindness. What do I do?

    • @mango7753
      @mango7753 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      how? I feel like practice or watching TH-camrs can help. After I watched gothamchess for some time, I went from 800 to 1500 rating effortlessly.

      @cancelseeker ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mango7753 chess just has a different set of skills that doesn't come easy to everyone. I can't get past 500 and I've been trying on and off for about a year. I'm not good at pattern recognition. For sure you can get better but maybe I'm just not passionate enough to take chess lessons. But I'm super smart in a lot of other stuff and still take online courses for fun. For some reason I just suck at chess

      I am honestly confused on how this is possible. I climbed from 600 to 1200 now pushing 1300 in like 6 months and I feel like I can definetily keep climbing. Watch YT vids, I usually talk to myself aloud when I want to play super solidly because then I can hear if my plans are bullshit or not. Look for what your oponent wants to do and either play to stop your oponent or play safely around their plan creating counterplay. Analyse your games and try to remember patterns so that you can see what went wrong and remember it for future matches. This is some tips from a scrub but still might help

      @@MrDanielfff777 Hikaru is higher rated so that’s definitely the expectation. They can always try to have some time difference to try to level playing field like what most do when super GMs have friendly games with lower rated players.
