Am I the only one that really respect sensei? I shipped them so hard it's been a year and I'm still crying over this. Suzume was only 16years old, she had so much to experience and grow as an individual but if they were together this wasn't possible. Sensei understood this, that's why he let her go. She was willing to follow him everywhere instead of choosing her path, she would blindly chase after an adult, sacrificing her youth. Sensei couldn't allow that cuz he loved her that much, omg I seriously hope he gets a better relationship than this cuz he really deserves it but I still ship them arghhhh!!

People keep saying sensei had so many chances and he chose to ruin it, but they don’t realize that they got the right love at the wrong time (yes that was a song lol) if he asked Chunchun/Suzume to wait for himuntil the right age to be together that would be a bit selfish of him and Suzume would definitely dedicate her whole highschool life to sensei, but he never asked her of this instead he chose to sacrifice his love and let her go. His feelings for her was very sincere but he didn’t know how to handle it esp. when they were left together, he likes the girl ofcourse he’ll want to be with her, people think that his subtle actions are making her fall for him, but can’t you blame him? He likes her too. I am actually impressed he didn’t really took advantage of her knowing she confessed to him multiple times, maybe the hugs and almost kiss were there but in real life, I think this will go further lol. Anyway, I just feel like she has more chemistry with sensei and it was definitely leading there ending up with Mamura feels forced to me... 🥲 but I really feel for this character, he got so much potential that could have been explored. again, just right love at the wrong time... 💔
I heard that the author originally intended to pair them up, it was obvious to how the story started. But due to the pressure of what the readers wanted, she changed the male lead to mamura. i rooted for sensei btw i liked the thrill of how all odds were against them and i comforted myself thinking they'd end up together in the end. so to say im heartbroken is an understatement :''''))) and now i'm left with wonders to how the story actually went if the author followed the plot she originally made...

Like how fumi and akatsuki how their battles as a novelist having a relationship with someone who is 12years younger than him, would really make a big shake to his career. And aioi and yoh chan relationship which is similar to yuyuka and mamura's if her original story would to be followed. But yea. I just wish that yamamori sensei would make an alternative story where sensei and suzume got together fought the obstacles and such. There are so many important details that has been left undiscovered tho.

It's so crazy the fact that this exact thing happened to me too. When I was 17 I fell in love with my maths tutor. He was 25 and he was tutoring me in private. We shared lots of precious moments together like Suzume and Sensei and were conscious of each others feelings. But yes people move on. It was the right person in the wrong time. I'm 21 now we've met a couple of times during the years and we still care about each other. He is a part of my life that I'll never forget

We spent lots of fun times together but at some point I had to stop the tutoring for personal reasons and he thought I didn't want to be with him anymore so we parted ways somehow. We still keep in touch from time to time but I bet he might be engaged by now. There's no denying tho that he was one of the most serious relationships in my life and we'll always care about each other. This manga portrayed that relationship very realistic
I really love Shishio and don't really get why many people hate him. Sometimes I become really mad. I think most of them are losing Shishio's complexity and sacrifice as an adult and they don't know the meaning of Shizume breakup. I'm also dissatisfied with the ending because chunchun still didn't know why shishio broke up with her, which partly because of yuuki's effect. If only they have a fairer comment about him Btw, Wish sensei and Chunchun could be together, partly because it's hard to see shishio suffering so much after that breakup, i always think his previous love with Tsubomi( I like Tsubomi as well) affected him a lot and contributed to his manners after all. Btw, I'm really happy sensei finds someone else. Samejima is really cool :)) and Shishio moves on, it also reflects the message of manga, too. Hrk's really a heart-touching story with deep plot :)) Sorry if my english is flawed
When i was younger and read this, i was hardcore rooting for Mamura. and i would've been unhappy if she didn't end up with him. But now that i reread it, I realized I really liked this pair too?? Like i just love BOTH PAIRINGS ;_; and my heart hurt a lot when Shishio got rejected. I'm still glad Mamura ended up with her, because he was the softest boy and deserved everything- but i know i definitely wouldn't have minded if she ended up with Shishio :") Still.... I know her ending up with Mamura is the most realistic ending and I'm glad it went that route. Just,, so many contradictory feelings!!

UGGHDHGH IM SO PISSED as everything felt so rushed!! I loved Suzume and Sensei together. There were so many things I loved about them. I love Mamura so much but the swerving of lanes felt so out of place. Idk, it didn't make me want to ship Mamura and Suzume anymore. I know he tried to protect her but them getting together felt so rushed. If they had more moments and the timing for them was there then I would've shipped it. I wanted more development between them in getting together. There's just so much feels and chemistry for me with Suzume and Sensei. We can also see their difficulties in being together since she's just a student. I think that's what makes it realistic cause not everyone falls in love with people their age gap and their moments seem more authentic. Their love was more mature and had a deeper meaning for me. Making her end up with Mamura is too cliche for me cause the heroine always ends up with the ML but couldn't they have developed more? It's so unrealistic how he just keeps blushing when she's there. It felt more of a "puppy love" in a way. THERE WAS STILL SO MUCH LACKING BEFORE THEY EVEN GOT TOGETHER!! You have no idea how much I'm screaming on the inside because of this manga >_
I like how detailed this comment is! And I pretty much experienced the same thing, though I'm surprised you think the ending with Mamura was obvious - most people found that turn in the story really surprising. But I think there's a real beauty to Suzume and Shishio that makes them special whereas her relationship with Mamura was never as interesting to me. It was good but not great. I loved Mamura but I wished he'd been in a different book series if it meant Suzume breaking up with Shishio.

People in here are so used to stupid fantasy mangas that they cant for once, appreciate a realistic one. OF COURSE she moved on over sensei and fell in love with another guy pursuing her. I wanted sensei x suzume as much as the next person, but unlike other manga, in which the girl doesn't know when to give up and keeps annoying the guy, Suzume moved on and found someone else. It was sensei's insecurity that allowed that to happen. And he found another girl more suitable to him in the end too so its all good. Stop complaining.
I liked both ships and I was really surprised with the ending however I was actually happy about it because in every manga I have read the girl never ends up with the other guy and I was really happy with the surprise because it was different from other ones

Well I know that the manga made it seem like sensei would win over mamura but I understood the girl protagonist's feelings too Being with sensei made her feel like she wasn't herself ....it made her sad With mamura , however, she felt calm and could be herself She could be happy with him And he was always supporting her So I totally am satisfied with the ending :3 I wouldn't have had it any other way

The twist I was given when I read this manga was so painful. I don't know wether I'm happy or sad that she ended up with Mamura, since they didn't have that much scenes when they're together. So I thought it would be Sensei and her.... But boi! Was I wrong! But it was good, and I accepted that they're together and Sensei found someone else.

This is the most beautiful yet most heartbreaking amv I've seen from these two. I was really into Sensei and Suzume, like sensei is really an Ideal guy....but then following the story..I prefer Mamura for Suzume and I was happy that She chose Mamura and expressed her feelings towards Sensei. This is just my favorite movie ever.
The teacher is so handsome and charming! Love him~ Though at the end, they cannot be a couple, he still gave her so many romantic memories. I like both the teacher and her classmate. Her teacher is handsome, charming, a little childish, but somehow, at some moment is mature. Definitely, at that time, he couldn't give her a warming love. They couldn't walk home with hand in hand, they couldn't celebrate holiday together in the open area. It's understandable Suzume's uncle cannot accept shishio be her boyfriend. However, it's glad that at the end, Shishio bravely confessed his feeling to Suzume, and they said good farewells with each other. By the way, Mamura is such a good man who supports Shishio all the time, and respects her every decisions. They will be a good couple definitely! The story give us two kinds of different love, and both of them are bittersweet and memorable! That's why it's a good manga and worth to read XD

I read the manga because I saw an amv of Suzume x Mamura and when I read the manga I was rooting for Mamura (maybe I was too biased) but if only I saw this amv first or if only I haven't seen that Suzume x Mamura amv, just maybe I would have rooted for Shishio. Even though I'm a shipper of Suzume x Mamura, I can say that Shishio x Suzume moments can really hit you in the heart. (I was really shock on how many people were so frustrated of the ending, can't blame them Suzume x Shishio had so much feels)

i think that’s why she made another “sensei-student”story called tsubaki chou. so she can write freely what she wanted.

Like how fumi and akatsuki how their battles as a novelist having a relationship with someone who is 12years younger than him, would really make a big shake to his career. And aioi and yoh chan relationship which is similar to yuyuka and mamura's if her original story would to be followed. But yea. I just wish that yamamori sensei would make an alternative story where sensei and suzume got together fought the obstacles and such. There are so many important details that has been left undiscovered tho.

It's so crazy the fact that this exact thing happened to me too. When I was 17 I fell in love with my maths tutor. He was 25 and he was tutoring me in private. We shared lots of precious moments together like Suzume and Sensei and were conscious of each others feelings. But yes people move on. It was the right person in the wrong time. I'm 21 now we've met a couple of times during the years and we still care about each other. He is a part of my life that I'll never forget

We spent lots of fun times together but at some point I had to stop the tutoring for personal reasons and he thought I didn't want to be with him anymore so we parted ways somehow. We still keep in touch from time to time but I bet he might be engaged by now. There's no denying tho that he was one of the most serious relationships in my life and we'll always care about each other. This manga portrayed that relationship very realistic

I really love Shishio and don't really get why many people hate him. Sometimes I become really mad. I think most of them are losing Shishio's complexity and sacrifice as an adult and they don't know the meaning of Shizume breakup. I'm also dissatisfied with the ending because chunchun still didn't know why shishio broke up with her, which partly because of yuuki's effect. If only they have a fairer comment about him
Btw, Wish sensei and Chunchun could be together, partly because it's hard to see shishio suffering so much after that breakup, i always think his previous love with Tsubomi( I like Tsubomi as well) affected him a lot and contributed to his manners after all. Btw, I'm really happy sensei finds someone else. Samejima is really cool :)) and Shishio moves on, it also reflects the message of manga, too. Hrk's really a heart-touching story with deep plot :))

I'm still glad Mamura ended up with her, because he was the softest boy and deserved everything- but i know i definitely wouldn't have minded if she ended up with Shishio :")

UGGHDHGH IM SO PISSED as everything felt so rushed!! I loved Suzume and Sensei together. There were so many things I loved about them. I love Mamura so much but the swerving of lanes felt so out of place. Idk, it didn't make me want to ship Mamura and Suzume anymore. I know he tried to protect her but them getting together felt so rushed. If they had more moments and the timing for them was there then I would've shipped it. I wanted more development between them in getting together. There's just so much feels and chemistry for me with Suzume and Sensei. We can also see their difficulties in being together since she's just a student. I think that's what makes it realistic cause not everyone falls in love with people their age gap and their moments seem more authentic. Their love was more mature and had a deeper meaning for me. Making her end up with Mamura is too cliche for me cause the heroine always ends up with the ML but couldn't they have developed more? It's so unrealistic how he just keeps blushing when she's there. It felt more of a "puppy love" in a way. THERE WAS STILL SO MUCH LACKING BEFORE THEY EVEN GOT TOGETHER!! You have no idea how much I'm screaming on the inside because of this manga >_
I like how detailed this comment is! And I pretty much experienced the same thing, though I'm surprised you think the ending with Mamura was obvious - most people found that turn in the story really surprising.
But I think there's a real beauty to Suzume and Shishio that makes them special whereas her relationship with Mamura was never as interesting to me. It was good but not great. I loved Mamura but I wished he'd been in a different book series if it meant Suzume breaking up with Shishio.

People in here are so used to stupid fantasy mangas that they cant for once, appreciate a realistic one. OF COURSE she moved on over sensei and fell in love with another guy pursuing her. I wanted sensei x suzume as much as the next person, but unlike other manga, in which the girl doesn't know when to give up and keeps annoying the guy, Suzume moved on and found someone else. It was sensei's insecurity that allowed that to happen. And he found another girl more suitable to him in the end too so its all good. Stop complaining.

The twist I was given when I read this manga was so painful. I don't know wether I'm happy or sad that she ended up with Mamura, since they didn't have that much scenes when they're together. So I thought it would be Sensei and her.... But boi! Was I wrong! But it was good, and I accepted that they're together and Sensei found someone else.

The teacher is so handsome and charming! Love him~ Though at the end, they cannot be a couple, he still gave her so many romantic memories. I like both the teacher and her classmate. Her teacher is handsome, charming, a little childish, but somehow, at some moment is mature. Definitely, at that time, he couldn't give her a warming love. They couldn't walk home with hand in hand, they couldn't celebrate holiday together in the open area. It's understandable Suzume's uncle cannot accept shishio be her boyfriend. However, it's glad that at the end, Shishio bravely confessed his feeling to Suzume, and they said good farewells with each other. By the way, Mamura is such a good man who supports Shishio all the time, and respects her every decisions. They will be a good couple definitely! The story give us two kinds of different love, and both of them are bittersweet and memorable! That's why it's a good manga and worth to read XD

Even though I'm a shipper of Suzume x Mamura, I can say that Shishio x Suzume moments can really hit you in the heart. They are too cute at first but Sensei is confused on what to do, he love her so much thats why he let her go, its all for her sake, teacher and student relationship is forbidden and if they are caught it will Suzumes nightmare forever, it will forever stick to her, she'll be bullied and who knows be mocked or something.... He doesnt want her world to crumble like that, so as an adult he have to do something about it, and hurting her is his best choice, because she will never let go if he say that he loves her...
I’m usually the one to not like shoujo mangas but this one hurts to watch I wanted her to end up with sense I but also with mamura it’s so heartbreaking how he still loved her after and even kept the tie she gave him :((
