Marriage desperation gets and keeps women in very toxic scenarios. “Men of god” average worst abusers and they know the church is where they will get billable naive desperate women who jump into marriages ignoring all red flags. God doesn’t call us to be dumb. He calls us to use our spirit of discernment.

I left into hiding 4weeks before the wedding coz the red flags were becoming bloody red .17yrs later I dont regret my decision .Narcissist are so good to other people to shield their toxicity

I think your husband was a narcissist my sister, that what im picking up spiritually,bt there must be a reason why he targeted you. Probably God was trying to teach you discernment and to trust the inner voice when it speaks to you, cause it did warn you but you didn't listen. Im so happy you're healing

I hear everything she is saying neh but I can't wrap my head around this... You married into a family who's culture encourages leaving your kids behind😢. What kind of practice is this? What is the reason? What is your child supposed to do when mum or dad leaves them to build a home with another man or woman in a different location? Die? Hang in there? Be strong? See what they do with their lives?
Please, may those who know more about this please balance me. How is God approving of a union that is going to leave his innocent children neglected and stranded. Children never asked to be born. Please stop leaving them with gogo's and uncles for marriage, please😢.
The rationale about it is , the child born of another man before marriage is better of with the grandparents because the mother is going out to try life , which will likely affect the child negatively ( in the eyes of elders) . Elders presume that the child may not be well accepted by the mother's in laws because the child isn't theirs.
