- For our first adventure in Maine, we headed Down East to backpack along the Cutler Coast! This rugged coastal region is home to 5 designated campsites and we spent a day and night enjoying gorgeous coastal views, hearing the waves crash, and celebrating our 7 year wedding anniversary. It was the best way to kick off our time in Maine!

Hi y’all! We’re Adam, Kathryn, and Kona, an adventurous married couple (+ pup!) living on the road in our self-converted sprinter van! That chicken pad Thai from Backpacker’s Pantry is my absolute favorite dehydrated meal. I have a few here at home and I’ve been tempted to just eat it at home….it’s SO good. This looked like one of the best times ever! Thanks for letting us live vicariously through you and happy anniversary!!

Because of this video my daughter and I drove 7 hours to Cutler coast (In the snow!) to check it out for the first time. We decided to hike the 5.5 mile route because of time. The views with the fresh coated snow were stunning. Well worth the 14 total hours driven from Central NH to North eastern Maine. Thanks for sharing!

Holy smoke... I've been watching your vlogs for awhile and when I saw Downeast Maine .... that is where I'm from.... I walked the coastal trail at Emerald point (Quoddy Head State Park) and I worked at Cobscook Bay State Park in the '80s...I miss it so much ... I could smell the salt water while watching this.... I live in Vegas now.... I'm glad you got to enjoy it.... thanks so much for this...and thanks for calling it a "lobsta"...lol. Happy Anniversary !!!!

Congratulations on your anniversary! Persistence paid off in finding the right camping spot with a view. Maine reminds me a lot of the Oregon Coast, both places I need to visit. You come up with the best shots by using your drone and the way it moves away to do a wide angle shot of you both camping, was great shot!

We just drove through WV and it's definitely slightly past peak in the parts we drove through, but we didn't make it down that way, so we aren't sure!

It’s not too often that I haven’t at least heard of the place you are visiting but had no idea on this one. I love Maine but have only explored Acadia, Portland, and Boothbay areas. Will add this one to my list.
Thanks, Michael! The Cutler Coast is a hidden gem it seems! The lighthouse nearby is pretty neat as well! It's the eastern most lighthouse in the US if I recall correctly

Congratulations on your anniversary. What a beautiful way to celebrate. Blessings for many more and lots of fun in Acadia. Maine is a special place. We have been to Acadia numerous times and especially enjoy in July when blueberries are abundant along the trails.

Acadia National Park is AMAZING, and Alex and I are up there every year and you will see just how SPECTACULAR Acadia National Park is as it includes the highest elevation along the entire east coast...and that is Cadillac Mountain! You are going to love this magical place. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍.

What a fantastic way to celebrate your anniversary! Glad you got to celebrate in such a beautiful spot. I was laughing at Kona with her head on Adam's leg looking longingly at the blueberry coffee cake. Hiking around the coast of Maine in the Fall is definitely on my bucket list.
Maine in the fall is fantastic! We highly recommend it! Especially some of the areas we didn’t get to visit near the mountains and lakes.

Welcome to Maine! My home for the last thirty years. I've been wondering if you made it to the Belfast/Camden part of the coast, which is our home ground. I guess I'll have to wait to see what you did after Acadia NP.... Congrats on the 7th anniversary!
We spent a day in Camden, but off camera (just a work day + some off camera exploring) and it was so beautiful!

Thanks for the tip. I live in Portland and just spent two nights at that same exact site. Amazing place,stunning views but get ready for a very ruff unmaintained trail. There is literally a collapsing bridge as part of the trail. 🤷🏻♂️ Worth it 😂

I have always wanted to visit the pacific northwest but watching your videos recently has made me realize I can visit a variation closer to home. Being from Ohio most of our beaches are the typical flat and sandy though some are kinda rocky. Also it's crazy that 2014 was 7 YEARS AGO!!!
The Maine coast and also the north shore of Minnesota have major PNW vibes! We loved both!
