The master mats are great, I have 4 or 5, I use them for everything from crafts, cutting pills in half, and cleaning the firearms. I love them and will always have one they are well worth the money.
Ransom Rest far beats caldwell had both. Also Ransom rest Grips was used to make a mold of it to pour the caldwell grip, If you had a colt 45 ransom grip and a colt 45 caldwell grip you would see where the smeared out Ransom rest name and Caldwell grip will have all the imperfections that that Ransom has that is because the imperfections are in the mold and will be on every Colt 45 grip you purchase and in order for Caldwell to have the same imperfections and in the same spot, they would either have to have Ransoms mold, or make a mold from Ransom already poured grip. I know that Ransom had to spend over $1,000.00 to have a master made in order to pour a mold from it. So Caldwell got by cheap because they did this. Plus the hard material that caldwell uses is so hard could damage the finish on the firearm. With all that said Caldwell does not hold a candle to the Ransom. They stopped manufacturing them because they kept breaking.
I bought one of the Caldwell rests many years ago as far as I know they have not been produced in years. I believe the Caldwell is a combination of some of the Ransom insert system and the old Broadway pistol rest which only worked for the 1911 pistol. I as yet have not used the rest. It was significantly less expensive.
All the black inserts resembled ours eerly resembling ours in shape and size and where our name is. As you see in the photos we added. Where did they get this design, where did they get that shape, we will let you decide. I will say our shape and design is 100 percent by us. Why does there's have the exact same shape. And if you want to say it's their own design or only kind of resembled us. this is up to you. But as seen in video they also have our defects and our lines we have made in their inserts Yes, our shape, design and everything about the Rest and grip inserts are from here. So, as they say, if it quacks like a duck. As far as our machine we did not copy anyone. Funny how their mold marks match our makers marks from our original mold marks from the 60s, almost exactly. Even our mistakes and lines show up in their mold. How does that happen??? We will let you decide or justify that. You are correct though it is cheaper, As you well know import overseas labor is much cheaper from those none gun friendly country's so buying an import machine from a none gun friendly country is much cheaper especially if it has the same defects our original design does. Strange but as you know my friend engineering is expensive and American labor is to. But if you don't have those expenses like design or engineering or any of those American fees, it is much cheaper to sell your machine. Am I wrong. May also be why they are a huge corporation now inexpensive labor right. Many have supported them since there first two principal products. Or am i wrong. They are a big company now owned by a super super large company. But we just can't say how they designed their first two principal product machines can you. Or were there idea come from. Or where it is made. Can you. We know who started that company do you. I think its pretty clear were they got the idea from and the mold designs from. Sorry you bought one. I hope you bought an American original also. Or just the imported similar one. Glad you support them many have over the years. Inexpensive sells I completely understand my friend. If I can ask do you even know how that company started. We do. I myself know why that box is on their insert and their insert is the same shape ours insert is. The Broadway rest which held 1911s by their mag well was actually a Chuck design as well. If I am not mistaking If you referring to the same machine, I am thinking of it was made similar to our original Master Series rest, you will see that Rest and info in the upcoming video of the Master Series Rest video we will releise. . We will show the original Master Series from the 60s holds only 1911s before this model in 68. You may not even realize Chuck invented a Progressive reloader before Dillion or many others. We may share info on that one day to. But for now. Thank you so much for your input and feedback. Greatly appreciated. Watch for the next rest video we share more info for you. Hope this info helps. Thank you for your support and comments. Stay tuned

Yes it would be cheaper since it was made with slave labor in China.
