Love the Jeep man! For a cherokee drivetrain and power plant I would have gone with deeper gears personally. I ran 4.88s on 33s then 35s. With all the additional weight and tire height 5.13 would be ideal.
I just bought JLU Rubicon 44s with mounted 37" Tires on 17s... I'm so stoked to four link them up to my 91 2 Door XJ.... Sick bro! I might hit 65 MPH with stock 4.10 Ratio and with the wind behind me.
Simply Outrageous and wonderful build! I'm surprised that your rear bump-stops allow as much flex as they do - the little XJ's fender wells can only be trimmed so far... I've seen other builds with a sway-bar off a grand Cherokee with l-o-n-g disco links to assist street safety; do you have anything in mind for your build?

Sucks that here in northern NY anything that old is 100% pure garbage from rust. I went and looked at a 09 jk 2 door with 112k on it a few months ago, the frame was pure scale and it needed floor boards but they still asking $15k 😳😳😳

I have not re-calibrated the speedometer yet but I have a good idea how fast im going, usually 5-7 miles faster than the indicated by the speedo (with 33s) the larger the tires the more difference there will be.
What front bumper do you have installed? Been looking for one but all I have found have a winch and I don't really need one and don't want to pay the premium for it.
You can turn 37s with a Briggs and Stratton if you have it geared properly, and as a florida native, you realize we have a fucking huge mudding scene right? Or are you just completely ignorant bout everything you talk about?

The 44s are for gears to move 37s yet all the money spent yet the Chrysler rear and 35 front with 33s are just fine less money almost same lift and as equally as capable
Guys with 33s and stock axles sound like the fox who can't reach the grapes In the Aesop fable . Also since a 37 is only 2 inches bigger on the radius you are only going to gain 2 inches of axle clearance over a 33 ,but 2 inches is often a lot but obviously it doesn't look like a lot . It's also not just the direct 2 inches you get either that get you more clearance the larger tires don't get lost in the gaps of obstacles so you end up sitting up higher rather than having your tires drop into holes/gaps a smaller tire does. If you really want to be stupid the guys arguing for 33s because it costs money to upgrade for 37s ...well why aren't you rolling around on stock 29s why did you waste money going up 4 inches to 33s .

Mines getting cut up soon. Already had some old junk ripped out from under the hood too if you think its worth that much guy. Pretty sure the aluminum head on my motor is worth as much as your stock jeep 😅

Max tire size I would say for a jeep xj with no lift would be a 30 or 31 inch tire
