  • One of our favourites from the Bike Shed 2019 Show was this extremely cool Yamaha XSR700 Scrambler built as a joint project for the Yard Built program under the project theme of Back to the Dirt.
    This Yamaha IT inspired build is from the hands of very talented Portuguese duo, Nuno Capêlo and Ricardo Santos. Each with their own custom shops, Capêlo’s Garage & Elemental Rides, they’ve both exhibited at our shows, and stunned the crowds, for the last few years.
    Head over to the bike shed's website feature for some words and pics:

    Throw a bag on the rack & hide the tail light. Go off-road & cover the ignition in mud & crap. Easy access oil filter with holes cut out to allow mud & crap in. Drop the bike - break the indicators. Mmmm fantastic scrambler build... for inner city coffee shop posing.

    Wonderful tank. Marvelous exhaust. Great colour. Front wheel needs to be a 21"er.

    Sharp looking bike! The rack/tail light/turn signals combo is cool, and the headlight/number plate shouts early 1980's Yamaha IT enduro series.

    Great bike, love the concept of mid sized street bike in a dirt bike package. Minus the key ignition, not a good spot for a key, rather have in the middle like most bike have. I understand your guys are going for the "old school", but if you drop the bike, that key is going to snap off. Or if you run in to something on the side. It does not take much for a key to brake.

      They do and its called a Tenere 700. I'm not even sure this bike has s 19", let alone a 21" front wheel, so pretty useless off road.

    • @kevinlind4640
      @kevinlind4640 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michaelhayward7572 It's not the same though... The XSR is a classic-style version of the MT, but there is no classic-style version of the Tenere..
