I stopped wearing fashion trainers when I turned 40 and switched to Handmade Crown Northampton trainers. They’re made from the best leather (they use shell cordovan leather oak bark stiffener and 100% natrual rubber soles) and are made more like a high end dress shoe than a trainer and get more and more comfortable the more you wear them. They’re not cheap at £725 a pair but are worth every penny in my opinion.

Nike is a very stubborn company. No company stays on top forever but Nike is quite the exception. They’ve been there forever (35 years) and their strategy/ mission is not necessarily geared towards making maximum profit. They still spend a ish load of money on R&D, new techs and pattens, just not on the shoes you are interested in J. Take for example their distribution centres. If you ordered from canada, they ship from the freaking Netherland across the freaking Atlantic Ocean just so they can keep the USA market exclusive. They could save millions by making one big North American market but nope, not gonna do it. Don’t take it personally but most Americans has no clue how you guys have it easy vs everywhere else and it is somehow a part of Nike mission.
