Cenotaph with rockets is so free. 10% of 1 rounded up is 1. Scavs give +1 rocket on pickup. So even if multiple people can't ceno a target, it's not a huge problem for rockets
Synthos linger makes sense because it’s designed to let you punch out a group of ads, when you get down to just two ads left the buff falling off immediately would feel bad so the extra timer lets you finish your fight still being buffed
RIP to severance enclosure, it got nerfed twice. Not only do you require LoS now, it also doesn't work with Offensive Bulwark, Roaring Flames or Knockout.
I think the reason the mark was removed for the cenotaph user is probably to give info on which warlock targeted a target in cases where multiple warlocks are running cenotaph. If multiple warlocks shoot an enemy simultaneously it could get confusing for who shouldn't kill the target.
Outbreak solved the "which one is mine" issue years ago though, your nanites are red and other people's are white. Maybe the personal marker could have a + shape and others keep the × or something.
So an interesting thing about the golden gun chaining is that technically you'll still be able to do it against bosses that shoot back at you (eg warpriest) If you use a banner shield titan they'll make the big orbs from all the damage being taken... the only thing you'd have to pay attention to is that the damage buff from standing behind a banner titan will overwrite radiant and the hunters would have to back up/go beside the titan to benefit from radiant bonus damage
In our testing I believe the WoL from Banner Shield overrides the Radiant you want on GG but yeah I suppose technically super chaining is possible with Banner Shield as it has been in the past
@TheAegisRelic yeah it'd be incredibly niche since there are only a few select raid bosses that shoot back at you in a way that would create lots of orbs from banner shield lol. I still kinda hope that GG chaining is viable, but maybe not quite as strong and you need to maybe shoot a weapon for some super energy before picking up the orbs... in total honesty I don't think they needed to nerf it as hard as they have, but we also don't know how much it actually affects it until post Final Shape haha
I'm imagining Triton Vice might become very silly in the near future. We've gotten hints that a Chain Reaction glaive is coming, so doubling up on explosions might make them much more potent, and then being able to use that combination regardless of your subclass could end up mattering. See also something like Winterbite which would add shatter damage ability, or Destabilizing Rounds on Ecliptic Distaff. I think I even experimented with Edge of Concurrence in this regard back in S21, though I concluded it's just a way clunkier Forbearance. Winterbite in particular is interesting in combination with Stylish Executioner being proccable on any debuffed enemy via Prismatic. It'd play out pretty similarly to Stylish+Suppressing Glaive in S16, using glaive melees to loop invisibility. Likewise if there ends up being a way to do scorch etc. via glaive melee. (I don't think Incandescent works? someone correct me on that, or on Combo Blow for that matter.) You don't necessarily need Triton Vice for any of that, but it would help the damage situation against things you don't kill quickly enough. And obviously you'd need to figure out boss damage too (it's the same multiplier as Synthoceps, so you could trade out Banner of War for Combination Blow, probably, if that works). And actually, is there still a bug with the Triton Vice overflow and Winterbite not applying slow, or was that fixed? I don't remember, might ruin the whole thing. Anyway, sounds fun.
The knockout nerf also hits Arc HOIL titan pretty damn hard since you could proc the grenade recharge boost by just getting a knockout hit. Also I think people don't care about raid mods generally cause good raid armor is pretty rare to come by unless you do master mode. Most people are not buying raid armor at the end of a raid and most people also don't do master raids outside of getting the title/associated triumphs.
Real asf Imo master mode is a failure outside of the weekly challenge. Make it double or triple drops per encounter on master mode. Also the fact that I can just craft a better version then the master raid weapons is dumb
I think almost every change in all of the articles caters heavily into Final Shape design So if anything sounds weird or feels like it won't do anything in current sandbox, remember we don't know what's coming up next in FS
The biggest issue with raid mods is requiring raid armor that can't have artiface slots. A HUGE qol change with them would be to allow them on raid armor that's been turned into ornaments. That way, you still have to aquire the armor(and mods) and a synthweave per piece(15 per raid with 3 characters) to take full advantage of them.
Not sure how much the star eaters will be different on the exotic class item but I think Bungie preemptively nerfed them since they will be available on all classes
I think it’s insane they keep trying to limit the amount of ammo we are getting I swear in some activities the ammo economy is horrible like in nezerac
I'm a Sunbracers simp and my biggest problem with the change is that you're going to have to cycle your nades for Heat Rises perfectly now-before, when you'd get a melee kill if you consumed your grenade you'd only have time for 3 full nade throws before the timer runs out, so with this it's going to be down from 3 to 2. Sure, you'd say consume your grenade prior to the melee kill or wait until your 4th grenade to consume; for the first scenario, sometimes you'll end have no grenade and your first grenade charge will come from the Sunbracer's proc, so to maximize your Heat Rises/Phoenix Dive for Restx2 you'd consume, dive, then throw the rest of your grenades to keep your timers up with Empyrean-with this change the time it takes to consume and dive it's only going to let you get one grenade out (I'm assuming); second scenario is going to be the new/only viable way to handle Sunbracers, which delays your Heat Rises and Restx2 and could get you downed while setting up. I only complain because Sunbracers doesn't really fit in most end-game content to begin with and I mainly use it for low-end content and it's just going to make the exotic more annoying to deal with when I'm trying to farm garbage activities for loot. Maybe Bungie's intent is to free up use for other exotics in low-end content which I get, I just find it frustrating as someone who adores Sunbracers for what it currently is. Plus I count every grenade I throw with Sunbracers so that I can manage my buffs completely and now Bungie's making me rewire my brain for the new max grenades 😠
And I also often like leaving the 5th nade charged so that in the event my teammates wipe the adds before I do so I can at least restart my cycle on the next group
@@LtheGlorious Nah I agree with you completely at the low-end level but that's kinda why I liked it lmfao I'm a wellskater till I die and it was just the perfect like "do whatever activity necessary" build, especially after our dear starfire got put into the ground
Raid armor not being artifice is literally the reason nobody uses it in practicality, im not typically going to sacrifice my good statted armor just for like 10-20% more efficiency in a raid
Strangely I'm a little worried for Felwinter's + Grapple melee getting nuked. One of my most fun interactions alongside Necrotic + Grapple melee. I know it uses a grenade charge, and that it consumes the Grapple Melee charge, so might be a different case entirely, but idk
Sunbracers nerf is irrelevant. Cenotaph nerf was warrented, because triple cenotaph is BORING. Also, I'm never using that shit normally too cause it's boring by default. Battle Harmony change sounds really good in add dense environments.
Im gonna be honest, Ive really only ever played with one ceno mask at a time on any team running any content since its release. I guess if I only every ran with 2-3+ in everything I do this nerf would feel like it hits a lot harder to me, but for the people who were abusing the usefulness of using multiple I can understand that it's a sucky nerf
For me, the raid armor issue isn't that raid mods aren't impactful or that I don't care about raid armor, it's that a full run of Vow can net me an entire drop of armor that all drops below 62. That really sucks. I know stats outside of Resil can be mostly worked around and you don't need triple or even double 100's most of the time, but to consistently raid and get absolutely dogshit raid armor drops is really frustrating. I don't think I've gotten more than a handful of pieces at 65+ from any raid in the past year.
@SlongestKongest lucky pants does more final warning was doing more due to a bug with mechaneers tricksleaves where it would proc the damage boost twice
All I'm saying is that with the new healing auto rifle archetype, Starfire Protocol or Verity's brow with Ember of Benevolence would be very nice. Especially if Verity's stacks with the new super, or if the two grenades persists from Starfire. Also, Helion should allow fusion grenades to ignite after one grenade, which I’m hoping for.
Sigh Sunbracers is an interesting case. I rocked Sunbracers exclusively until Solar 3.0. So I know how cracked that Exotic is and I would even be okay with nerfing to only 3 grenades. IF AND ONLY IF enemies killed by Celestial Fire activated Helium Spirals 100% of the time. Right now Celestial Fire works as intended, about 75% of the time. But there have been times, recently, when Celestial Fire 1000% kills an enemy without activating Helium Spirals. Do you know exactly what activates Sunbracers? Ignitions or a charged melee kill?
Also the severance nerf is kind of annoying if it works how they worded it. They said enemies are only affected If they're in line of sight. Meaning if I throw a hammer and it hits an enemy in front of me only the enemies in front will explode while the ones in back and on the sides will just ignore it. Unless the splash damage and range isn't reduced and the explosion chaining is still the same then I guess its not a big deal. Still think it was unwarranted though.
They actually nerfed Severance TWICE, killing one of the most average (but fun) exotic in the game... Yet they just gave Sunbracers and Synthos a mere slap on the wrist
Can anyone explain the powered melee change to me please? I understand Knockout doesn't trigger powered melee effects. But does combination blow not work on Assassin's Cowl anymore or what? Combination blow technically "spends a melee charge", right? Or it's just Bungie's way of saying they will nerf Cowl combination blow later.
Yeah, the situation is that some effects in the game (Combination Blow and certain Titan effects like Knockout) cause your unpowered melees to count as powered melees for certain purposes, and apparently including Cowl and Severance and probably other stuff in "certain purposes" was more than they were comfortable with, so they're requiring you to spend a melee charge to get those effects. The biggest question is what this means for grapple melee, 'cause I'm gonna be real annoyed if Cowl Threadrunner eats the nerf too LOL
After thinking about it with the cenotaph nerf, would it still be viable to run just 1 for gms... or would an aeons player be better because it gives more ammo per brick? IF aeons becomes the way to go I wonder what setup would be best for warlock. Yes I know hunter has on demand invis but I would like a backup ammo gen build for my warlock because I still have a infinite special ammo finisher setup on a bond for my warlock and one on a hunter cloak as well.
@@briansmith301 I meant when TFS drops with the nerf. I was thinking like what kind of setup with prismatic would work with aeons in case ceno really becomes unviable in ammo gen. Tbh tho I'm more so just thinking about aeons because I still have the special fini gen build from the start of LF because I saved a bond and cloak on my warlock and hunter.
I swear started playing destiny again a few months ago you vids got me into speed running and everything all of a sudden is getting gutted do you this will effect boss kills a lot and overall efffectness if certain strategies you use like buff stacking for example
The requirements for consumation of s charged melee instead of proccing off of knockout, roaring flames, offensive bulwark, etc, is such an unnecessary nerf
for your comments on the severance change I agree but you also gotta look at it from a different perspective. You "seem" to be looking at this stuff from the end-game/DPS PoV which is not a great way to be looking at this change. Sure the change is not a horrible nerf or anything but it also is nothing close AT ALL to a buff. Objectively this is a nerf and the problem is not about how big a nerf it is. The problem is why even do it in the first place. Ideally we should have more and more exotics being viable in higher levels of play and Severance ain't really cutting it so seeing a nerf even this small is kind of annoying
I believe what they're cooking for it is some kind of special reload functionality--they mentioned they wanted to do this for the scopes but hadn't figured out the technical end yet.
Bungie tuning updates: “we felt compelled to ensure every warlock main has a worse experience in the game therefore we’ve nerfed everything about everything and you guys should go play hunter.”
"There.... seems to be a lot of fun happening in our sandbox...." Bish bash bosh.... Titan now virtually useless and Warlocks only truly aggressive add clear option neutered........ .... nervously looks at his hunter...
Warlocks are literally fine. Sunbracers nerf is small and titans are fine lmao. Literally nothing has changed the meta is the exact same. The only difference is that infinite grapple may be dead
@@SlongestKongest Grapple isn't even dead, it's just less effective on any boss with a 1 1/2~ minute damage phase. (Which is about 26 million damage out). Grapple isnt even touched.
Only real buff is Khepris horn. Everything else is cosmetic. HEAVY HANDED INTRINSIC IS NOT AN EXOTIC REWORK 😭😭😭 I cant believe they took 7 months and this is all they could cook
It's not the line of sight "nerf" that's upsetting about Severance. In all honesty, it's barely even a nerf and more of a fix, but things like offensive bulwark, bastion, and roaring flame uncharged melees no longer triggering its explosion is a BIG nerf. Severance was completely irrelevant for years and it recently found a silly little niche to use, and Bungie is immediately going to make it harder to use
Honestly the Severance builds I was planning involve finishers and not powered melees (to be honest unpowered melees on titan are usually not very strong in endgame content without Synthos), but I see your point
Gotta love when the entire patch notes can be summarized by a single bullet point within these patch notes:

Tbh tho I'm more so just thinking about aeons because I still have the special fini gen build from the start of LF because I saved a bond and cloak on my warlock and hunter.
@@azimuth3d211 what briansmith is saying is that he already usually is in fireteams that don't bring multiple cenotaphs anyway and it's fine
You can still run 1 but heavy will be a lot less spammable
Finally someone else realizes the sunbracers nerf isn't that bad
The cenotaph gonna be the same thing on normal runs, people usually only use 1 ceno, and thats more than enough
thx cutie
I just wanna know if frost armor and strand armor stack
They most likely will, DR has always stacked in this game
I hope Bungie change Mask of the Quiet One at some point
its been useless for all of d2's life
It's so forgotten that it still pretends "health" doesn't include shields, which is why it's bad
idk what exotic use in day1 raid
Anything that's decent and you're most comfortable on
Guys its simple, if you want to run double special just run it. Special Fini go brrr.
I swear started playing destiny again a few months ago you vids got me into speed running and everything all of a sudden is getting gutted do you this will effect boss kills a lot and overall efffectness if certain strategies you use like buff stacking for example
12:20 me when I remove the X but they still glow red or they still glow red and remove the X
i just bust all over my screen
I'm a diehard Nezarec's Sin fanboy and love using Mantle of Battle Harmony. I'm eating good with Final Shape.
wings of sacred dawn untouched???

The requirements for consumation of s charged melee instead of proccing off of knockout, roaring flames, offensive bulwark, etc, is such an unnecessary nerf
Tell me about KARNSTEIN.. best exo in the gane
for your comments on the severance change I agree but you also gotta look at it from a different perspective.
Yeah it definitely nerfs it in lower end content where people just wanted to have fun with it too
Just try claws of ahamkara they can already get x4 hands on
Yeah some other commenters mentioned that the orb size increases slightly
They should make Queenbreaker crafted.
I believe what they're cooking for it is some kind of special reload functionality--they mentioned they wanted to do this for the scopes but hadn't figured out the technical end yet.
What did Warlocks ever do to Bungie devs that they hate as that much? No significant buffs or exotic reworks, just nerfs.
Bungie tuning updates: “we felt compelled to ensure every warlock main has a worse experience in the game therefore we’ve nerfed everything about everything and you guys should go play hunter.”
Just make Armor have raid mod slots in general.
At this point bungie just nerfed all solar warlock exotic and super
"There.... seems to be a lot of fun happening in our sandbox...."
Bish bash bosh....
Neutered? What are you smoking? Sunbracers are still broken.
“To me cenotaph nerf is huge because multiple warlocks can’t mark the same targets in GMs”
Me: Wait you guys had teammates running mutiple cenos?
Please please please just give us a way to farm unlimited exotic ciphers stop time gating us 😭
Only real buff is Khepris horn. Everything else is cosmetic. HEAVY HANDED INTRINSIC IS NOT AN EXOTIC REWORK 😭😭😭 I cant believe they took 7 months and this is all they could cook
TFS -> This Fucked Sandbox
im a og
😎
A lot of the raid mods are not that impactful. DSC, KF, etc.
Yeah but about half the raids have meta-shaping mods
Yayyayayay
It's not the line of sight "nerf" that's upsetting about Severance. In all honesty, it's barely even a nerf and more of a fix, but things like offensive bulwark, bastion, and roaring flame uncharged melees no longer triggering its explosion is a BIG nerf. Severance was completely irrelevant for years and it recently found a silly little niche to use, and Bungie is immediately going to make it harder to use
Honestly the Severance builds I was planning involve finishers and not powered melees (to be honest unpowered melees on titan are usually not very strong in endgame content without Synthos), but I see your point
@@TheAegisRelic Finishers are it's last best use case imo, if bungie ever affects how it works with finishers it's truly doomed lol
ok
:3
My opinion has arrived
How they just keep nerfing warlock and hunter stays mostly untouched😭
Early as hell
