always in the first 2 rounds, i crouch near the trap and place it as high as possible. Maybe the guide will have better tricks.

I love just maining cypher in unranked and seeing people stumble into every one of my traps, and I’m still glad I watched this video because I had never found a good use for the cage other than protecting a teammate while planting, using the tripwire and the cage together is a genius idea I’d say, thank you so much for the tips
I once had an enemy Phoenix stumble into the same exact trap that I didn’t move 4 rounds in a row

A good one round tip:
Lurk and use the camera inside the entrances of sites then just spam the camera. 2-3 people would be watching on the site you are then let your team push an easy 2v4 take. Only works 1 2 3 times. Its really good when you want to make your team still on rhythm

thank you really, because of these tips I won a 1v5 situation with 13 hp. I was being chased and they thought they had me but I used your tactics in play and clutched up the round and won the game. (btw this was a competitive game diamond 3)
i have also won a 1v5 with cypher using tactics it just feels so good
The most interesting thing to me is that once if he can get an enemy in his camera and fix the target, the enemy will be tracked down till he sees him again.
On Bind in B garden, there is a wooden plank that is leaning against the wall. In early rounds I recommend placing a wire there because it actually goes behind the plank, making it invisible to see. After a few rounds however people will just learn to jump over it so adapt and overcome
Just started the game yesterday and bought Cypher as my first free agent. I come from siege, where information gathering is a core part of the gameplay. This guide has been extremely helpful. Thank you. ^^

In terms of the most common sights cyoher plays in at each map, this was 100% true for me
I have something to say about bhopping, if you are good at bhopping you could use it to walk to the other end where there is a entrance and it’ll make you a lot harder to get headshot and get hits on you

"Omen is better" or "we need real support" and "Raze is op, os play her as long as she gets nerfed" but I trained him well and some of this tricks wasn't new but thx
advise: 1)don't repeat your self and be creative
2) whatch out for Razes roomba cause it destroys trap wires

Hi. I’m a new to the game and have only done a few dozens of unrated matches. I can now choose a new agent and cypher stood out to me. But I’m not sure about picking him this early since I’m still learning about maps, smokes and tactics. What are your thoughts on this? The sooner I pick him the better or should I leave him for when I’m more experienced?

When I play cypher defending I usually put the camera on the opposite zone of where I am then i can just see that zone in one click and I always put a trapwire on the places the enemy comes from behind because it is just superfunny how they think they will ambush us and run into a tripwire
A note for people watching: Jett's buff was reverted, now if she dashes through shes yoinked back to the tripwire.
Also don’t forget the op cam spots. Not the glitched ones but there are many very good spots

i think cypher is better as a lurker during attacking because he cant contribute much to the team during a site entry, the only thing he can contribute is his aim.... for some reason most people said that Reyna is a better lurker which i kinda disagree since she is more of a entry fragger
Whenever I play cypher I always run into the problem of a raze or sova nading or shock darting my wires. This completely shatters my defensive kit and leaves me very vulnerable. How would I counteract this?
Dude, same issue. The fact that allied Raze's can fuck your camera with her Nades, even if you place it as high as possible due to the blast radius, is imo just sad.
Try to mix up your traps. If the enemy Raze/Sova notices that you put your traps on the same place every time, they are going to destroy them.
@@oake5869 Dude just put your traps in different locations a bit deep. That way you'll bait their utilities and won't get your traps destroyed either. Plus keep one spare trap on you which you can put up on the fly after activating cages in case if the entire team is rushing in.
Raze is a counter too. Robot and granates can defuse traps

I'm less than a week into this game and I use Sova a lot, cypher might be my next main
Jett players are litrally my nightmare as a Cypher main, their dashes and air boosts are so annoying and I feel like twisting my hand just to set my crosshair properly.... But using Cypher is a dream that even if I see just a glimpse of opposing team member's location I could take my time and put down my cages and strings to completely guard the site while my teammates are charging to my backup, cheers to all my fellow Cypher mains!! Nothing stays hidden from us... NOTHING!!

Honestly I disagree with Cypher being only made for B on Split. The spawn jump cam on the billboard overlooking A lobby is very OP for early info. You can tripwire/cybercage the A ramp and A main. Team can rotate throw ropes or spawn.
On split you can play cypher on a too there are so many camera spots

Bro press E and choose a suitable place to place it and now take tpp and hide then press E now.u can see through camera and shoot a dart so that your enemy's location will be revealed to your teammate too

as someone who play cs go and rainbow, info is basically the most important thing to win games, this guy literally makes u a info God and if u know what u are doing u will clutch games all day crazy 1 v 3 potential

Hey...When an enemy walks into the cage, it glitches a little, like a small segment changes. Does it represent where in the cage they are, or is it random? At first I thought when I see a glitch say on the right edge, it means the enemy just walked through on the opposite side of the circle from that glitch. Is that correct? It would be cool if a video showed this, with a top view maybe.
