Can we attain nibbana in sexual intercourse? If so how?

Pali Canon does state that once one achieves nirvana, one will be unable to engage in sexual activity. The body is disgusting, why would something so profound be realized through an animal act? LOL its like asking if you eat certain foods or hear certain sounds Nibbana will be realized.
