The course of nature, I like "course" for Dào.
I translated the Dào Dé Jīng, using all 6 ancient manuscripts provided online and using an exceptional Chinese-English dictionary. My project began in 2009, but I edited it several times, the last time being in 2022-23. It's amazing, the insight you get from engaging in such an intensive and creative endeavor.

It is a meditation, full of mystery, imagery and symbolism.
The revelations are not on the page, they arise within you, in meditation. As the author states in the very beginning, if Dào can be expressed, it's not Dào. The author uses words, to point to what is wordless, Ineffable, which can be known only within the Self, in meditation.
This applies to all wisdom writings, and to all of life in general. Dào is your now.
