They are criminals now because of the magic Marcille used, they can't go to the surface, not now nor ever, they can only go further down. That's why Shuro offered to get them out of the island.
Everyone left coz they were effectively beaten. Low on rations, done with mana, just barely alive after that attack. Remember that Kabru's group was already basically running on fumes when they met Shuro, so it's quite reasonable to deduce that if the plan is to delve way deeper than planned before and challenge the mad mage a small strike team is better than a starving incoherent mass.
They basically all gave up their supplies to give Laois' party enough to keep going deeper in the dungeon.
I mean if someone that I never met broke a major taboo and then the result of said taboo went on to kill me and most of my party I'd also be highly distrustful of them.
Kabru's party left because they cant handle the lower floors not to mention theyre out of resources.
Shuro's party save for Asebi left because Shuro said so cuz hes wack like that i guess lmao.
and the reason why Laios' party didn't go with them is because Shuro outright said he was snitching. If they go to the surface now Marcille would be arrested by the elves and possible the rest of the party along with her meaning the rescue of Falin ends there comepletely and she just may end up being killed by the elves sent to clear out the dungeon. So they opt to go defeat the mage instead.
Shuro said he could not bring himself to kill Falin, and he wishes to not involve himself and his party in black magic, so he would have nothing to do if he followed other than act as escorts.
It is really convenient then that Marcille did not have to use any mana for revives since she will return to being the only mage.
You forget that shuros party is tired and malnourished after fighting nonstop to get to the lower floor + They just got killed and reviving use body muscle and fat to restore the body, and part of the blood is loss in the process. Leaving to recover is the only logical option. None of laios party members are as tired as ther people of the other groups.
I don't really understand how Shuro leaving makes him a dick. If I got all the way down there to discover that the group had committed a taboo punishable by death and then watched as the woman they used said magic on killed my entire party like she was swatting flies, I would also retreat. It's completely reasonable to assume that Falin is no longer herself and is beyond saving after seeing that, why push his party into a suicide mission?
I mean, obviously we have the benefit of being outside viewers who know how storytelling works, so there will be *something* they can do to help Falin and the anime can't end two episodes from now with a tpk because that'd be a bad story. But it's not like they know that lol
Why would the others follow these criminals in their dumb suicidal quest, when they just got TPK'd? Leaving is the reasonable thing to do, our guys just aren't reasonable, which is both their strenght and their weakness.
Marcille also dont undestand that type of magic that much. Most of her knowledge is from old books. The side effect of mixing two souls never went thru her mind.
edit: getting ressurected and healed depletes your body, they cant do it forever. Kabrus group has been revived 3 times to this point, Shuro's group has been advancing and fighting nonstop after entering the dungeon before being killed bu falin. Shuro is already malnourished. Both groups are tired, malnourised and they are in no condition to keep fighting.
I dont think their bodies would tolerate more healing/reviving before death becomes permanent.

The English dub can get used to, but the highlight for the dub is Marsille’s reaction toward the shirt ripping part for the dub; it was hilarious.
So like I think it was mentioned before, but Kabru's old town was destroyed and wiped out by dungeon monsters, including him mother. Ha hates monsters, my dudes
Since Laios convinced shuro not to report marcille to the elves of the west so that they can release Falin's soul from the dungeon, shuro can now only trust Laios' party to defeat the mage to free Falin, though it is a crazy idea. Since he probably don't want himself and his party to join a suicide mission of defeating the mage ,Shuro and his party left to report to the Lord of the island ( not the elves)about Falin, to do something so more people will be aware not to go too deep and get kill by Falin, because that is not what shuro want. Another comment also point out that Shuro could not bring himself to kill Falin, probably and he wishes to not involve himself and his party in black magic that is probably needed to help Falin.
Basically the Mad Mage went full Halaster (Undermountain) and morphed Falin into [Baba Yaga's Hut] x [Drider] = [Chimera]. A near 3 party TPK is the least of their problems.
Kabru's party is outclassed by this depth.
Shuro's party is spent.
Laios' party's only chance now is to beat the Dungeon. That may let them:
1. Reclaim Falin from the Mad Mage's Control. (If possible)
2. Become King to outrank the Regent's call on enforcing the Black Magic taboo from the Elves.
