Model A Ford throw out spring install, exhaust leak fix, Marvel carburetor install

Working on the throw out bearing spring, not happy with the one I put in so I'm going to replace it with a different kind. Exhaust leaks are in more than one place, exhaust into the manifold leak fixed, manifold to engine leak not fixed andis my next project. Marvel carburetor installed.

Thanks Jim, appreciate that. I am going to put in new manifold gaskets today as I now know, after fixing the exhaust leak at the manifold, that I had more that one leak. I may need to order some parts, we'll see, so the video may be delayed. I am thinking of replacing the generator with an alternator which I have already sitting on the shelf. The generator that came with DD has a fuse wired into it which is strange. I have never seen this before and I sure would like to know why a 20amp fuse would be wired between one brush and the mounting bracket. Got any ideas? I will take a video of the generator/alternator swap so you can see what I am talking about. Blessings

Hmmmmm! Now I'll have to check to see if my car has the spring.Just dropped a new rebuilt modern type distributor in the other day, and it seems to run a bit better.Thanks for another video on DD.Have a great weekend.

Hello Dean, thanks for the post. When I put a new distributor in Frankie she seemed to run better as well. I should think you would have the throw out bearing spring in your car, if not and you have to get a spring and put it in your car maybe wait a few days as I am putting in a different spring which says it is for a Model A and AA just to see if it is easier to get in. The stock spring seems impossible to put in if the Throw out bear is in a driving car. Out of the car is would be quite easy it think. Blessings
