I picked up a Xtool D9S Pro about 4 months ago and so far I'm very pleased. I do not have any complaints thus far. I have used it on quite a few different vehicles, doing a wide range of tasks as well. Thank you for doing what you do👍. Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and God Bless!
The D9S pro is a great scan tool. I’m sure that the D9S is probably comparable. Quick reaction. Probably due to lots of ROM. A handy tool. L O L without a high-level scan tool, things would be much more difficult. Even with it, sometimes the riddles can get your head spinning. I am much more into reliability. Vehicles these days are far too feature oriented. that blown off charge hose… That’s the reason why I keep a paint pen in my pocket. I know it’s torqued down before I lower the hoist
Just a warning on any Audi and VWs you might work on built after 2024. They are using a new Security called SFD2 (UNECE). You should still be able to do basic scan and code erase, but from what I have read. Some have had problems with changing the rear brakes due to needing a security code to enter the control module needed to pull the rear caliper pistons back to put new pads in. Ross-Tech and OBDEleven have been working on a way to get past this new Security but haven't made much headway yet. Just thought I would give you a heads up if you ever work on any new 2024+ Audi/VW's. I guess its audi/vw way of making you goto the dealer for repairs, even simple stuff.
Chrysler has been using Autoauth for several years now, Nissan has recently joined and you need to add it to your Autoauth account for an additional charge, we’ve been hearing other manufacturers are getting ready to also join Autoauth which is already ridiculous but if VW is doing their own gateway that’s ridiculous
I got a D9S for myself as I was tired of going to autozone or oreilly when I needed one. I really enjoy the tool and on a very important note having it connected with the supplied usb cable is much more stable and faster.
Thats a leak alright. My 2016 Passat with 97k is running great. No timing or turbo issues. I think I read the timing chain issues by 2016 were fixed. And I thought the fuel issues might be related to the boost leak. Nice scan tool

Xtool is good. There good on key programming

Sending everything to a customer email is big now, plus it is very fast doing things. Also everything is in the case. = Great for mobile mechanics.

That works but that's only for Mazda and ford
