    Potatoes and beets are really tasty mashed with some butter, milk and a pinch of salt. It's a typical Dutch "stamppot" and a great way to get a lot of beets in.

    I have once watched a yt vid about two guys who switched diet. The other guy has unhealthy diet the other has healthy diet. And when the guy with unhealthy diet he realised the big impact of healthy eating to his mental, emotional, physical aspect. Also, all day he felt good. They also emphasized the correct time of eating. That video motivated me to be careful on what I put in my body.

    Ok, wow. I just prayed about the health /food/ weight topic, was looking up health info on internet, and then saw your video! I wanted to cut out sugar an processed food, the timing! I also feel tired 2 hours after getting up after many hours of sleep. Interesting!

    It also matters the source of the caffeine. A good option is green tea because it has a high amount of the amino acid L theanine which can improve cognitive function, mood, and sleep, and also reduce stress. A lot of other teas have L theanine but green tea I think has the highest! And you can drink decaf versions too!

    The best solution I found to have more energy and to feel great is on the Mediterranean Diet which is having my plate consist of 1/2 fruits & veggies, 1/4 protein and 1/4 beans & legumes. Eliminating red meats or keeping them to very small portions and cutting out processed sugars is key. I feel great and look great! Also, have lost a couple of pounds as well! Now, who wouldn’t want that, right?

    Hi Ashley, Regardng the thyme, just strip the tiny leaves off the stem and use them that way. No chopping and you don't normally use the stems.

    God restored me from depression after a prayer & repentance. The next or next few days, God showed me clearly that food affected it big time. Quitting coffee is the key. I've restricted myself from drinking coffee daily, my cheat days are on the weekend. I've switched to tea for day-to-day, until I've found a better solution: honey, lemon juice, and hot water. It's like tea but without caffeine. Still sweet, but no refined sugar, just good quality honey sweetness. Sleeping problems fixed, better energy, better mood. Also, agree with the sugar thing, that rush was what kept me up all night. When my body improved, I got to think more clearly, helping the depression cured faster. It helps bring me closer to God a lot. Hope it helps. God bless

    Hi Ash I do love beets . I boiled them let them cooled down and cut them in cubes . I use them with yogurt , granola, seeds such as almonds, nuts.

      Beets have an interesting taste to me... but it was fun to give it a try! If you do good spices on them with salt and pepper too they taste great. I also put a little ghee in there too!

    I love beets, one of my favorite veggies also pairs really well with goat cheese. I always tell my husband they taste like dirt 😂 but I like that taste.

      @@coffeegirls I just get them from a can, like my mom used to do. She and I were the only ones that really liked them. Also I think cooking some fresh vegetables was not convenient for her as a factory worker in Chicago when we were growing up.

    No, to the beets. No way, no how, not happening 😂. My whole life I have been a texture picky eater. As I've gotten older my taste has expanded but there is still a whole host of things I won't eat. And as an adult I can now say I don't like it and I'm not eating it. My parents were pretty good about not making me eat a lot of things I didn't like but every once in a while we'd have those challenging dinner times of you have to try it before you can leave the table. Here's the big surprise I actually do try stuff now that I think I don't like. Usually I still don't like it but at least I've tried it.

    I recommend you to check out insulin resistancy. It's not shown in regular tests you have to specifically ask for an insulin stress Level Test.
    Besically cutting out sugar and eating whole wheat stuff and sport helps the symptoms.
    Your meantioning your eating changing habits you might have it. Please check out, it could lead to diabetes.

    You're glowing 😄 I love that breakfast idea, but unfortunately I'm not a beetroot fan, which is annoying because they're packed with nutrients!!
    I've been skipping breakfast recently and feel so much less sluggish. But as it's saturday, I just made banana pancakes for brunch (x1 mashed banana, x2 eggs, x1 cup oat flour + a dash of vanilla & almond milk). Sooo tasty with maple syrup!!

      Me neither. I’ve been juicing them for years and when you add in other flavors like apple or ginger it covers the earthy taste right up. Give it a try!

    Sounds like u have adrenal fatigue. Go to a naturalpath. You have to flush your liver and kidneys. God's best way for us to eat from the beginning was Garden of Eden. Everything else was "permissable" but not necessarily beneficial. Return back to the ancient paths where the Good Way is with fruits and vegetables no dairy nor meat. Your whole body will heal itself.

      Liver and Kidneys are our bodies natural “detox” houses and don’t need “flushing” themselves! God made us with in-built detoxifying systems. Also you can’t meet all your nutrient requirements on a vegan diet, but supplemtation is required for Vit B12, usually iodine, Omega-3 fatty acids, and often calcium and iron.

      Lol I am a registered dietitian and completing a PhD in nutrition - proper scientific research is all I do!
      Plant based diets have benefited many people worldwide, but they aren’t a “miracle” diet or will cure all ailments (there is no such diet that does this). Personal experience (anecdotal evidence) is very different to experimental scientific research and therefore one persons experience cannot be extended to all people.
