@@immanuelsugar6209 Charles Dance and Jack Gleeson both signed off before their bodies were shown after their deaths, if Jaime and Cersei's bodies are going to be shown then why has Lena bowed out of the show but Nikolaj has not been interviewed about it nor has he said his goodbyes to his own character, and only to others?

It's mad how this character is really the only one I care about on the show now, when I detested him at the start. Shows how strong the character of Jaime is...one of the most underrated in television.

And credit to Coster-Waldau on his brilliant performance as Jaime. He starts off as this arrogant, smug bastard but as the story unfolds the layers to his character start to show. I recently thought about what Tyrion says to Jon Snow in season one. "Never forget what you are, the rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you." I think this is exactly what Jaime was doing. He killed the Mad King to save King's Landing but was labeled "oathbreaker" and "man without honor." So, he embraced the Kingslayer persona as a way to shield himself from the scorn of others. His arrogance and cockiness on full display for the world to see kept his true self shielded from the ridicule of what he had done. The Kingslayer died when Jaime lost his sword hand. He became vulnerable then. His despicable armor chipped away to reveal his true nature. His redemption arc has been nothing short of masterful.
He certainly had come a long way & is certainly one of the most changed characters (if not THE most) throughout the show. even a start where he was that smug, 'fuck-you-if-i-care', holier-than-thou asshole, unlike his totally despicable, vile sister, he had a capacity to care for people who were not his family & was capable of honor & genuine good deeds, despite the irony that the one he was in loved with being one of the most hated monster in the entire show. his change throughout the show was nothing short of phenomenal.
The scene in episode 2 when he finally got to meet Bran again after all those years was just powerful in my opinion. he never apologized when being accused by all manner of shit, which he owned up to, at the small meeting the people in power held when he arrived at Winterfell, retorting that he did what needed to do back then, & would've done it all over again. yet when he got to see Bran in personal he genuinely apologized for pushing him off that ledge all those years ago. he apologized to the one person he truly felt wronged all those years, only to realize that both of them were no longer who they once were, & both of them moved on, becoming stronger & better in various ways. despite what has happened, they both turned out to be better people in their hour of doom.
Exactly I hated Jamie Lannister for a long time but now I'm hoping he lives especially these new episodes playing now Jamie might be my favorite character up there with John Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister, and Arya Stark. I can name about 5 more there is so many great characters.

Jaime's bath scene with Brienne is one of my favorite, if not my favorite of the whole show. Nikolaj conveys Jaime's pain and struggle so beautifully.

While I agree a good argument could be made for Jamie's character arc (which was ultimately disappointing), I personally think the best character arc was The Hound's, with his (ultimately successful) journey toward redemption.
@@pcbacklash_3261 hound had an even worse arc, he always said that maybe revenge maybe wasn't all that in the world and then lol 8x5 he goes and finds gregor all for revenge.
I disagree. He went from being a completely amoral thief and killer to risking his life for others and pledging himself to a moral cause. His vengeance toward his brother was the only constant, and one could even argue it's justice, given Gregor's role and utter lack of remorse.

My fav character of the show. His loyalty to his brother when his dad and sister hated him. He does everything for the love of Cersei and doesn’t hide it ever. Also he’s shown sides of decency and humanity letting Briene leave, also which can’t be overstated he lost everything that would matter to a man in his 20’s. He once sarcastically said he is the “ King slayer” yes the guy that killed a man before he could burn thousands of women and children to death. He was the BEST with a sword and loses his hand which if you ever were the best at something and had it taken , you understand just what that could do to a person. He’s also lost two good kids!!! Especially his daughter who he was thrilled to get back. So.. he’s shown undeniable LOYALTY to his family, lost his fighting hand when he was the best in all 7 kingdoms, and his kids. Yet he’s had mercy towards others, and has carried a nickname defying him as a betrayer / backstabber but he saved THOUSANDS OF INNOCENTS!!! He could have married the hottest queen or princess and ran his own kingdom but didn’t want that.He even is standing up for what’s right and fighting for “ the living”!! He’s definitely the most misunderstood character in the show.

His character was the most engaging. The range was f feelings he created in me was everything from hate to pride to his beautiful scene charging Drogon, to leaving Brienne ugly crying in the rain (hating him again).Great stuff.

This a character that everyone loved seeing evolve and fall back every now and then. And Waldau has done absolute justice to it.

Every cast member remembers video, the progression of every character's personality , all these actors that started as collegues and have now become such close friends and the fact that this game of thrones is close to its ending makes me more and more sad . A simple bravo to everyone that participated in this show and bravo to the community for finding something to reflect upon that made them love this show.
