I've experienced the Xdiavel S for the last year, I have two other Ducati's, 1299s and the V4s. But the Xdiavel is a whole different beast with a very unique personality. It slams you back onto the seat with every twist of the throttle, your blood races, your heart pounds and you get an adrenaline rush out of this world. I've owned numerous sport bikes most my life, who would've thought that a techo-cruiser would blow them all out of the water. That includes the Ducati's I have now, they're unbeatable for top end performance, but the torque curve on the Xdiavel S makes your heart skip a beat. I ride it more than I do the other two, plus my wife can ride with me too, it's unbelievable.

I just got my endorsement last summer and got comfortable with riding and test rode this in the fall and it was amazing! The first ducati I ever rode and it just blew my mind! Can't wait to try it again this summer and hoping to save up and get one in the future!

Jaret this is my dream bike that I won't be able to buy never in my life.... I'm glad that your channel is better and better and at least I can watch you riding on this bike. I was writing to you couple of years ago that thanks to your channel I want to pass driving licence, buy some bike and start recording. I did man!!! I agree with you. California has some of the best roads. I love riding the back roads when I go to Palm Springs ands San Diego. The San Bernardino valley, and going up 74 to Idyllwild. That’s a fun ride. I fly to Palm Springs spend a week there and then ride 74 up the mountain and back down to 215 and head down to San Diego. It’s an awesome long ride. It’s fun on the 848 ego or the 959 Corse, I thought about bringing the V4 this year in April ... but on the XDiavel has to be a dream!! Hopefully this year I’ll win one lol.

I own a xdiavel, it’s absolutely the best purchase ever in my life! Worth very single penny it costs. I live in SoCal as well hopefully we can ride together sometime

Hi Jaret, what made you think the Diavel S is a better bike than the XDiavel S?
Man that is a cool bike, I own a 2010 Multistrada 1200s that I absolutely love but I would really like to ride a diavel some time.
Oh man you really have to ride one if you get the chance! I do believe this is the same engine off the multistrada 1200 as well so I'm sure you'd feel right at home on it :)
Can you talk about any downsides to the bike? Like I’ve heard that the cage on the belt dive traps rocks a messes up the belt. Or that the bike has issues recognizing the key fob. It has oil leak issues?
Ducati’s are know for their rear brake issues do you have problems with that?

haha yep you don't know until you ride one! And this is Zaca Station Road. Its near where the 154 meets the 101. Highly recommend it. One of my favorite roads I've ever been on.

I called around for motorcycle insurance quotes. I’m 28 in Cali with a clean driving record. They all quotes me around $9700 per year. You do the math!!!
That doesn't make sense...I fill out quotes online and for full coverage I pay $45 a month for the Xdiavel with Geico

How would you compare it to a Monster 1200? Similar power and torque?
Yes it does have similar power and torque BUT because of the long wheelbase I find I can crank this throttle open harder while keeping the front end down, which I personally prefer. haha The monster does have better handling though and a different rider position...much sportier so it just depends on what you're after.

It’s because you’re used to Sportsbikes. Naked bikes are a lot more fun and usable on the road. You want to try a Tuono or SuperDuke.

Hi Jaret ... The only part of this bike I don't like and I don't think works ... is the front dash ... it looks so unfinished ... a larger instrument cluster plus a fairing would really help ... anyway love your vids ... Merry Xmas ...
Opposite for me,first thing I noticed and liked very much indeed,from the rider`s eye view, was that uncluttered look.Like a board racer,just a set of bars.Tiny speedo to keep it legal.

Seems much like my 2012 Diavel. Fun as hell until you get around 100mph then you have to push the bike. 130 is the top I have gotten mine, but I also weigh 300 lbs. Anyone changed the sprockets and gotten better top end performance?
Yeah I've ridden the diavel I got my pops and they are very similar. I've gotten this one over 130 mph pretty easily and from what I've read they should do around 150 or 160 mph stock.

The newer Xdiavels have a higher top end. I'm not the lightest guy either at 230 pounds, I haven't been under 200 pounds since high school.(a long time ago) But I always get a thrill when I get on the bike, it's all about having fun.

Or any 2 bikes, priced under $13K, for 1 XDiavel S. $13K can buy a very nice bike. Is the XDiavel S really worth 2 of them?
P.S. This question is intended for average people with a budget. Not for those I-already-have-two-Ducati’s-in-my-garage rich guys.
Is a Porsche 911 worth 100K? Is a Ferrari worth 120K? To the people that love them yes. I bought a factory demo 2016 XDiavelS with the Termi exhaust and the extended warranty for $17.5K. In 48 years of riding have never had as much fun and adrenaline as this bike generates. You can’t ride 2 bikes at once and neither of those Triumphs comes close to the exhilaration of the XDiavelS(power,handling,brakes, sex appeal). You just need to ride one and you will understand.
See, buying a used one makes a lot more sense. I saw several used ones on CycleTrader for around $16K, with little mileages. That, I can live with. But I’m not the type of person who’d spend $25K on a bike.
I actually think you make a great point which is why Ducati doesn't sell as many as they would if they were more in the $15 to $17k range. If I was going to buy one for myself I'd look for a used or leftover for $17k ish.

Sound is objective...some people love the sound of a ducati, some prefer the japanese 4 cylinder. Just personal preference.
"turns" lol, for US-standards that might be true but you should ride on european roads then you will know what turns are and think us roads are all straight. (not that european roads would be homosexual)
haha honestly on the gorpro you can't tell BUT a lot of these turns were literally 90 degrees. So they are certainly curvy roads for sure.

Always a thumbs up and a comment to show support. However, if I would have had to hear you say, "oh my God" one more time I would have turned it off and unsubbed. As a Christian, I never could understand why people would use the name of Jesus as a cuss word or just randomly call out to God as just some random expression. Think about it; nobody would hit their thumb with a hammer and cry out, "Oh Jaret, damn it, my thumb, oh Jaret" that would just sound stupid. So, isn't it equally as stupid to call out the name of Jesus as though it is a swear word? Especially people that do not believe in God. If they say, "God dammit!" and don't even believe, how stupid is it to cry out about someone they say does not exist? And, if He does exist (obviously I believe that He does) then why would they want to mock God?

I'm so sorry you felt I was using it as a swear word...I actually use "God" as an adjective to explain an experience that is out of this world so to speak. So I'm saying "Oh My God" as in this is amazing. I was raised Christian myself and I try to treat all religious words with respect :)
@@JaretCampisi Jaret, My wife read what I wrote, along with your response, and suggested that I reread what I had written. While I stand by what I said in general, I directed it at the wrong person. Let me explain. The 4 or 5 videos I watched right before yours (all separate channels) were saying, "Jesus Christ" over and over like His name is some swear word. Also, they were consistently saying, "god dammit" which is really a stupid thing...to ask God to damn something. It just hit me how often this happens now-a-days and am certain that if people were saying that about muslims, muhamed, or allah, that not only would that channel be demonetized, but would likely be shut down. Not to mention that a group of radical extremist terrorist type muslims would no doubt want to whack their heads off, or at least slit their throats. Channels have been stopped because someone voices their disapproval of homosexuals or illegals, etc, yet it almost seems like it is "open season" on bashing all things Christian! By the time I got to your vid I was already pissed off and wrote what I did. In retrospect, I directed it too aggressively and toward the wrong person; and for that I apologize. I think You are a decent and respectful guy that comes from a decent set of parents. I understand that you did not mean it in any kind of disrespectful way, etc. It was just the number of times you said it when I was already pissed off due to the videos before it, was enough to make me write what I did. I really wish I would have directed it toward one of the disrespectful jerks that were intentionally being pricks and not toward you.
