There's corruption in every country but the corruption in Nigeria is out of this world. The only reason the country still stands is because it's enormously rich. I don't think any other country can withstand a quarter of the corruption that runs in Nigeria. With the natural resources in the north used for manufacturing phones in excess, with the raw gold we have discovered, with the oil natural endowed and a whole lot of resources naturally underneath Nigeria, we are the richest country in Africa and far richer than even the G7 Western countries.
Cost of governance should be reduced drastically. Senators should not earn more than 1.5million in a month at most. Governors not more than 2million. With this, Nigeria will be better.
Scrap the senate completely, they are useless and let rep do their job. They should also reduce the numbers of appointees and also scrap the office of the First Lady, First Daughter and First Son.
Hey 1.5m is too much, 200k is ok for sen and 250k for gov. so that they should understand that they are employed, not their heritage. Also, that our cost of living would reduce.

The Igbos are not satisfied with TINUBU but we don't believe in medicine after death...we saw this coming and that's why we refused to vote for him. But the South West and Northern Region chose him.

Even if every voter (North, , West, East, Middle) casted their vote for Obi or ANY other candidate except Tinubu, corruption would have caused the same result in favour if the ALREADY SELECTED.

Tinubu & co aside, the underlying reason for this whole thing is the simple fact that Nigeria produces nothing. Apart from a mall section of the population engaged in farming, garments and shoe making etc, a large number of people are unemployed, underemployed and simply unemployable. The rigged educational system is producing large number of poets and other unproductive people relentlessly.
So, while the infrastructure is in a state of decay everywhere, large number of idle young people are roaming about doing nothing and unwilling to do anything except dream of millions ang going abroad. Nobody has the guts to mobilize this large abundance labour for public works and infrastructural transformation because of the outdated economic model currently in place. Apart from Peter Obi, nobody discussed any economic policy during election time even at Chatham House government, except assert that it was Tinubu's turn.
Now, in the absence of any coherent economic plan the government can import and distribute rice and nothing more because Nigeria problem is systemic and structural. This raises the question as to whether Nigeria as presently constituted is governable.

Lady and gentlemen, no one should earn more that ten times what any other person in the system earns. The lawmaker should be earning 750,000 Naira with the same benefits other Nigerians earn. It is ridiculous for any body should receive newspaper allowance, furniture allowance etc.,. Now, suppose these extra monies are used for employing policemen (we need to estimate the number) for the respective constituencies of the lawmakers in question to provide security for citizens especially farmers, Nigerians are too docile. Let us hope they wake up.

The reason for the Senate and representative full salary depends on the time. The ippis portal closes on the 10th of very month. If the approval was done after the 10th then the reduction will happen in August pay. So the rep man is right it goes through a process

(100x776x10= 776,000) ACRES farmed within 1 year alone. In just 3 years, over 2. 3 millions acres farmed. We need to think of finding solutions to our problems

Why should the Igbos be satisfied with Tinubu's performances or treatments against them. Look at the way he made his appointments. How many Igbos do you have in office, or did he appoint in offices? It was this same Tinubu that told Buhari that he, Buhari got only 5% vote from the Southeast, therefore, do not deserve Federal positions, but forgetting that the natural resources that keep this nation called Nigeria going come from that Eastern region.

Talking of Uzodinma, one is only wasting his energy and saliva. How can Imo State have a Governor who has no clue of/on governance. Uzodinma cannot walk around Imo State streets, like other Governors so as to interact with the citizens of Imo State. He sleeps at the military barracks, and travels in military armored tanks when he is in Imo State. Uzodinma never passes the night at the Government House, Owerri. His wife and children live in Abuja, at the expense of Imo State Government.
Uzodinma is the worst Governor Imo State has ever had after Rochas Okorocha. Embezzlement of the State's fund is just the order of the day in that State.
