I lived in Nova Scotia in the Annapolis Valley in the early 2000s. What a fabulous place to visit and if you can, live! For me, this place on earth is a peaceful wonderful place where you will be happy. A University in Wolfville is in a smallish charming town. Adjacent Halls harbor is where you will select from bins of seawater flushing over live lobsters for your selection and they prepare for you while you wait next to the moorings of those boats who brought the catch to you. For over the top fresh scallops you need to head to Digby, Nova Scotia about 1 hour drive from Wolfville for amazing huge fresh off the boat scallops! 🇨🇦
You must come back to Halifax one Summer...you will truly love it here...as you will the Annapolis Valley were you stopped by, and the South Shore ie Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Chester, Hubbard's...and the Beach in Hubbard's...there are many Awesome Beaches all over Nova Scotia. Another tip is coming in the Fall/Autumn when the humidity has finally gone, and the colors of the Gorgeous 🍁 trees, see them as the reflect on the Ocean, Lakes and Rivers...than Wow!...then head to the highlands where you will be in awe of the Beauty, as you travel along the Cabot Trail. Guaranteed 100%, you will not be disappointed. Cheers, from my Home Sweet Home, Halifax, Nova Scotia ❤️
I came once in the summer years ago as a teen, but we would love to come back in the Summer one of these years, and we plan on it as we have both friends, and family there! Thanks for watching!
@@AimlesslyWandering wonderful to hear you will be coming back in the Summer, one day. Also it's always great when you visit a City or Provience, where you have Family and Friends. I'm sure you will have a Fabulous time. Also if you have time and budget, taking a few days to visit Prince Edward Island (our home away from home, we love spending time home in Nova Scotia and a week or two over the Summer on the Island. We Love all the Island, especially Charlottetown, and Brackley and Cavendish Beaches, our Favorites!). Cheers from Halifax!
Glad to hear! Thank you so much for watching! Be sure to check out the other travel videos we post up here on the channel! Wherever you go, stay safe and have fun!
Sorry for the late response, for some reason I didn't get the notification. We went in the last week of December 2021 and the temperature at the time in Peggy's Cove was around 1.8 C (35 F) not factoring in the wind chill.
Sea Food in Nova Scotia is amazing, some of the best I’ve had in this country. Fish and chips are great in most places, but it can be hit or miss (like any restaurant).
Halifax has it's own charm, but we were pressed for time and didn't get to explore or properly show it off. That, and it was just after Christmas day and a lot of things were still closed for the holiday's. Hopefully one day we can get back and explore during the summer!
I would like to come back to Halifax... it is a great place to visit, i really love it
Halifax is a fantastic town, any time of year! We can't wait to go back!
Last year we didn't have any snow until the second week of February and it only lasted a few weeks. Our winters are getting milder all the time.
Thanks for the info🙂

Is the Canada good for fishing chips?

Thank you! 🤩
Halifax didn't seem too interesting, but the small towns you showed seemed quite charming.

Hi, a Haligonian (Halifax native) here. Nothing seems too interesting in Halifax during the winter. All the action is indoors.
@@johnt8636 Can confirm! I had last visited in the summer of 2002 and downtown and the waterfront was hopping!
YOU DON’T KNOW WHERE THAT ICE HAS BEEN!
Especially so close to the ice pee!
It's pronounced Acadia university not Arcadia
