I feel like the mom was being reasonable considering he only 16 and he wants the sleep over so they can have sex which she knows that’s the reason so it’s understandable why she’s saying not yet and especially with his exams coming up last season when they allowed them to spend all this time together Charlie ended up failing all his classes and not doing his homework
She already thought they were having sex back in August and this was in May. For me saying no to the sleepover isnt really about that for her but more about staying focused on his exams and not changing his routine before a big exam (which i also find reasonable)
