The way the armor works isn't like cold wars armor system. Basically, after you purchase armor you get 3 filled in shield symbols on your characters portrait on the bottom left and what it does is it protects you from any fatal hit 3 times. Each fatal hit you take you lose one shield, up to 3 shield total. After you lose your 3 shield symbols you just go back to an armor stand and buy armor again. Think of it as a Juggernog that gives you 3 extra limited lives rather than permanent 3 extra hits. And to be specific your character doesn't receive damage reduction but instead of downing on your third hit or your fatal hit it consumes the shield. Hope this helps.

The armor in this game basically works as temporary jug, it just lets you take 3 hits after being redscreened instead of going down but they don’t recharge unless you buy more or have your field upgrade so that it refills it or something. There’s also a hardcore version of the Easter egg which adds in a few hidden steps and requires you to get all 4 upgraded Tesla guns and then the boss fight is a bit harder. If you are interested it’s really fun and I’m sure lots of us would love to see you do it!

I did it on my 2nd try yesterday. I was so stressed and scared, but It was my first solo ee. I used the pistol pap and bar, the pistols litterally helped me so much throughout the ee. I wouldn`t have done the ee without the pistols. I barely used the tesla gun tbh.
