Very great and informative guide! I would also mention, that by default the virtual disk is dynamic, aka it does not take all places directly, but only when it needs. Like, we can allocate 65GB, but as long, as our VM does not need more than 25GB, the virtual disk file will not weight more than 25GB. However, if your virtual disk can theoretically weight more than your free space on drive, your VM will freeze when your drive, where virtual file, is filled.
You'd explained very detail about virtual package and lscpu command which are even mentioned in other similar tutorials, and you explained it in a very detail but easy-understanding way. Previously I believed that cpuinfo won't show VT-x/AMD-V if virtualization is not enabled in BIOS. It helps me a lot, and thank you.
Thank you, you are very good at explaining things. You should do a video on getting the clipboard working between host and guest. Virtual box makes this stuff so easy.
Yes but I recommend entering lscpu and checking that output, scroll it up with the mouse... Virtaulisation for me was spelt with an S not a Z - panic over
You are amazing and surely deserve more subscribers. keep going on. Do you use Keyd, Kmonad, Knanata? I'm actually searching the whole web but I find nothing that can help me replace AHK used in windows. Yeah I know about autokey, but is very limited rispect AHK (no mouse rempapping, no modifiers remapping..single shortcut to an action...ect....)
Thanks for the tutorial. How do I import the MacOs virtual machine into the KVM Virtual Machine Manager in order to activate it from there? In Xubuntu I created a launcher on the desktop using the command below to launch the virtual MacOs machine: bash -c "cd /home/nols/VirtualMachines/macOS-Simple-KVM-master && /home/nols/VirtualMachines/macOS-Simple-KVM-master/basic.sh"
All your explanations are good, but your hand movements are little distracting, just a little not too much. Thankyou for this video, I needed this for my practical exam practice
hi i need help i cant do a bridge connection whit my vm and the conection eno1 wich is my ethernet port y make one but after 6 days they restar the machine and my bridge lost connection whit the vms and i cant put online again pliss help
Thanks for the information. Can we run the virtual machine remotely via ssh if it is off. Or we physically have to turn on one the same host system. I want to know.. please reply with solutions
Hi, your mini course is good, but i have a problem to install libvirt and mi problem fixed executing in this order tha packages: sudo apt install qemu-kvm sudo apt install libvirt-clients sudo apt install libvirt-daemon-system sudo apt install virtinst sudo apt virt-manager sudo apt libvirt-daemon sudo apt virt-viewer sudo apt libspice-server1
Thanks brother! I noticed two commands not working as you probably have some sort of package that automatically installs all packages related to libvert xxxx
I couldn't find anything related to gpu passthrough in my bios settings besides iommu being set to "auto" but I'm doing this in hopes I can get some windows games to work while being able to copy them from my Linux install, specifically Dragon Ball FighterZ just so I don't have to switch back and forth by powering off my PC, here's to hoping it works, although I can't say how well it will work on a single GPU setup :p
I had to go into my BIO settings and enable virtualization for my CPU BEFORE doing any of the steps in this video. Just an FYI for anyone else that might try and run the commands and assume their CPU does not support virtualization because there was no output.
okay! Very good content, I need some help, I have two network cards, I wanted to leave one dedicated to my machine and the other I wanted to use with another router connecting my virtual machine, I'm breaking my head here, if you can help me :) Thanks
Opa, tudo bem!
Dude I don't know why you did not get good reach in youtube but the content you provided is very worthy. Thank you very much for this tutorial.
😁
I appreciate that!
am facing this error E: Unable to locate package libvir

Thanks for the in depth explanation! Appreciated!
Thank you very much. I'm just Installing Docker desktop. It requires Kernel Virtual machine and QEMU. So This video really helped me.

All your explanations are good, but your hand movements are little distracting, just a little not too much.

Can you please make a video for aarch64 based Ubuntu installation in QEmu ?
(virt-manager:2263): Gtk-WARNING **: 21:55:13.205: cannot open display: it says this when I try to open
Very good video,
but I don't have access to the internet on virtual machines. Any help?
careful, when you type the command 'lscpu | grep Virtualization' the word Virtualization must have an upper case V or nothing will come back
Are you running this on a VM or a fisical one?
very useful, worked fine for me thank you
You're most welcome!👍
