To anyone wondering whether to get Noir de Noir or Oud Satin Mood: OSM leans a lot more feminine to me since the rose is very prominent. Too prominent for my taste. I much prefer NdN, which is more unisex, darker, sweeter and perfectly blended to conceal the rose.
RIP Carlos from Brooklyn Fragrance Lover I have been following Steven’s channel and Carlos's for many years. I still remember his duet with Steven years ago when they played the song " Hallelujah ". I was hoping to meet him one day during a trip, now it's not possible anymore. I knew he had health problems but this is brutal and I didn't expect it at all. Carlos is one of those people we mourn and sincerely regret. So even if I didn't know him personally I will keep all the memories I have of him for the rest of my life. I'm sorry for your loss Steven I'm going to wear my most expensive perfume today and for a month in his honor.

I would have gone with my first option which was Hummingbird by Zoologist.. or if I went the more elegant way Kelly Caleche by Hermès. There are so many.. I ordered about 25 samples out of lucky scent and as a perfume fanatic I can tell you this was harder than choosing the dress!!! I wish you all the best, I’m sure you will make the right choice!

Maison Francis Kurkdjan grand soir. A warm, smoky and refined Amber. Reddish resin that comes from conifers, its name derived from the Greek "Ambriosos" means immortal, and this perfume in 50 years will not have taken a wrinkle. I was afraid that it would be sweet, but it is not the case, if not by the black and natural pod of its Vanilla. For the non-dominant Tonka is positioned in the background and with restraint ... and THAT, my friends, is very good. By imposing this one as the dominant note in all Orientals this past decade, the flame between it and me ended up being extinguished. I got sick of it, going from "I love it, it's one of my favorite olfactory notes" to "Again? they don't have anything else on hand or something" because it dominates and tyrannizes the other notes. At the time when Pierre Hermé claimed that he hated Tonka, I was thinking "How is that possible?" now I understand better. Anyway, here it only serves as a support and so much the better, just like Cistus. A creamy, dimensional scent that evolves slowly. I prefer it after 1 hour. It reminds me a bit of Dior "Vanilla Diorama" as on my skin it reveals itself spicy as a mix of Cardamom, Patchouli and African Cinnamon (from Ceylon or Madagascar). In conclusion, I thought at first that it was boring and banal... After an hour of evolution, I completely change my mind. 7,5/10
I would try Grand Soir. I am quite intrigued by it. Each perfume I bought of this brand is spectacular. I am also obsessed by Initio fragrances, thanks to you! ☺️ Oud for greatness is gorgeous. My recent purchases reflect my binge watching your channel;) I bought but haven’t received hibiscus aerin and lalibela. do you find oud satin mood lasts? I love it. But the sample when sprayed didn’t last. I am debating on lune feline or atomic rose. I have une rose, rose cuir, and the promise by Frederic Malle, and rose prick by TF. But I also love fresh sents like mandarino and positano TF.

do you find oud satin mood lasts? I love it. But the sample when sprayed didn’t last. I am debating on lune feline or atomic rose. I have une rose, rose cuir, and the promise by Frederic Malle, and rose prick by TF. But I also love fresh sents like mandarino and positano TF.
