hahahaaa loading the shirt the other way is a screen printer thing. i cant line shit up that way. hahahahahaaaaaa my transfers would be all messed up hahaha
Oh yah. I have two presses and neither are threadable. For myself, I can only see doing this on a threadable press if I had front and back hits that I wanted to protect. Like puff vinyl or transfers.
As someone who's getting started in the tee biz, I enjoy and appreciate the thoroughness and realness of your videos! THANK YOU for taking the time to help others out! ✌🏼❤
I use supacolor transfers all the time. I use medium-heavy pressure at 320 for 15secs. I then have to allow the transfers to cool off, then the cover sheet will peel off with no issues. Then follow it with another 15sec press
I’ve always done hot peel, but lately my transfer sticks no matter what settings I press on. I finally discovered it only comes off clean if put pressure on the transfer with my hand and cold peel. Love how the transfers look when they come off clean, but they’re just inconsistent for me, and I’ve spent a lot of money with them. Currently looking for a new transfer source.
Excellent info bro. I’ve been struggling with Supacolor transfers like crazy..same issues everyone else had but watching your tips has changed everything. I found the correct settings for my press and used your one quick pull method followed by the second press to lock it in. Works everytime. Washed it numerous times without issue. Good content bro. You’re providing a lot value with your channel. Thanks
I followed your instructions to the T and the transfers came out perfect! I had the problems you mentioned before and I’m thankful I found your video that has solved those issues. Thank you!
Thank you sooo much for this video! Getting my first order of custom design transfers for my first tshirt and you have taken away any nervousness I had with executing the process! Thank you!!!
Also I used your method of how to center the transfer onto 2 hoodies for my first time and both designs came out perfect, thank you. I’m just still figuring out what pressure and temperature will work best for a gildan hoodie
Hey Brandon how detailed can those transfers be . I have a designs with smoke in it but I don’t know how it would look on a transfer please let me know
I ordered from supacolor twice and twice I had issues with the peeling and I too ruined a few shirts. I used max pressure and even raised the heat way up and beyond to make the transfer adhere to the shirt. I was pressing up to 5-6 times with issues. After watching your video it makes me feel a little more confident to give it another try. I have the HPN Signature series 16x20 auto-open slideout draw. I think Supacolor does great transfers. Thank you once again for always sharing your knowledge. I hope this time around it'll work for me.
orders some samples and mess with those before placing the next order. try to nail down the technique with the samples. so when you get your order in, you'll be knockin them shits out. its mostly in the release and peel. not too fast and aggressive but also not too slow and gentle. i favor pulling close to the bottom platen instead of pulling and peeling up. grab the corner and peel low and quick
Brandoh how do you deal with glue residue surrounding the prints? Do you just accept thats part of using DTF transfers? Ive used some goof proof transfers and there wasnt any residue.
Good shit Braddah! I was having difficulty with my first Supacolor order, but I’m good now cause of you and I appreciate it! Question, what do you use to hold up your teflon sheet? Mahalo 🤙🏽
Great work Brandon, I love the idea of attaching the Teflon. I was told not to use Teflon when using transfers so I only use it for vinyl. Can it should it be used at all times? What size teflon
good question. temp can stay the same as long as the material in shirt and hoodie is the same. example. shirt is 100% cotton, hoodie is 100% cotton. temp can stay the same, just adjust the pressure. but if material is not the same you would have to make minor adjustments to the temp. if hoodie is blended with cotton and polyester i would go down in temp a little at a time till you get the results you want.
Can you recommend a transfer that is similar to goof-proof but is full color? I tried the ultra color soft from Transfer Express but don't like the feel of it; seems like vinyl almost. Thank You for all the knowledge bro.
Gradients look smooth n dope! The teflon sheet on top platen has no influence on the temperature? Thanks for sharing again! Always learn something on your channel 👍🏾👍🏾
just with supa. has to do with the backing paper its printed on. it creates some weird static energy in here. when i press supa tramsfers at home. no teflon needed
drifit is different. anything with polyester in it will need to be adjusted for that material. polyester reacts differently than cotton under heat. also anything with spandex, lycra or elastic in it too. i suggest testing out different settings on the shirts you wanna use to make sure you get the best application possible
I know this vid is old but I am noticing a white lining from the the adhesive around my black lettering. Any idea why the adhesive is causing a small white lining around the design? Supacolor said it’s from the adhesive and that I need to hit a second time. Any other suggestions? Still getting it after my second hit
yes its from the adhesive. i never notice it when i press supacolor. i press for 15 secs and then peel hot and repress with full pressure for a few secs. never have that issue.
Yo Brandoh! Thank you! I just got my first order from SUPA. It looks like your post press is eight seconds as opposed to the recommended 2-4 seconds. Can you confirm you do an 8 second post press? Again, thank you
my post press is all based on feel. no set time. some times its 3 secs and some times its a full 15 secs hahahaa. some times its any where in between. test out some settings and see what works best for you and your press
What are your thoughts on personal tags. I keep having issues getting them to press since the collar tends to fuck with the pressure. Is it even worth adding? I see some people say yes it's the next level in making your shit legit but I see some brands that don't use them.
they're cool but not needed. all depends if you wanna offer that to your customers. out of the 5 brands i run and operate. I only press neck tags into 1 of them. the other 4 just keep the same tag in'em
if they only want 1 shirt with a picture on it ,who do you go off of ?or do you only take orders of more than 1 ?Im asking because doesnt supacolor sell by the packs ?
