Molds are there as a short cut. If I make jewelry and don't make all the beads on my own I am still making jewelry. If I make custom vinal toys and use a prefab as the base that doesn't mean the painting isn't my own unique take on it. Good artists know how to use what they have, and the better we get the more shortcuts we learn.
its not cheating, especially because youre adding a lot to them! its very clear that you put a lot of thought and care into your designs, so using a mold sparingly isnt bad! also i assume those molds were made for that anyway

If you use a mould your designs will be more consistent, design-wise. so if the customer wants exactly whichever reference image you put up on the shop front it most probably will be much more accurate in terms dimension and visual. Its better than struggling to remake what came out right the first time. Redoing by demand, made easier.
