Great idea, I am going to build this. If anybody asks about it, I'll reference your channel. I think I'll make the table top the backside of the unit, with corner gusset plates to prevent racking. Cheers from Canada.
Hay young man I love seeing people using what they got laying around and making something they can use. Awesome idea . I hope you have a lot of fun camping in it.
very nice idea, you can make your own company with this idea but make it from either carbon fiber or some other lighter material. good luck mate. very inspiring :) I might make one for my jeep.
Bro this is such an awesome idea! I haven’t even watched the second video or any of the rest of your channel yet but my immediate thought was you should go on the show shark tank! This would be such a huge hit amongst the jeep community. Those folks on Shark Tank could help you refine your product and get it out to the world! Awesome man! Keep it up!
You should make it out of a stronger lighter material and reinforce the hitch as well as add a lock hole add a rear lockable door so the box doesn't waste as much space. Maybe add a gasket seal of some kind for the cracks in the door. Good luck
If you go solo just pull out the passenger seat and throw a cot in there man. this is a great idea I’m just real big on security so I like locking myself in at night
@@1obis6 I tried that for a few years as well but it's not comfortable. It's more comfortable to just sleep in the driver seat. If you park with the front tires on a hill (or ramp) it's like sleeping in a hammock :o) . . . taking the passanger seat out you then have to put boards or something down and then there's not much room for your feet under the glove box. (I'm 6'2")
Height wise? Any opinions on not making it as tall? I have a dog that would be riding with, and need room for him; from your practical use do you feel that there is any customization possible to allow room for a big dog to rid in the back?
It's successful in that you can get a good night's sleep. Not a stealth camper and no dedicated storage, if that's even an issue. What good design is all about.. working out the bugs until it's bug free! 🤔
Nice vid, great idea. Curious why 2-door jampers don't just take out the front passenger seat (or seat back) and use a cheap cot that runs from the dash to the tailgate?
I had the same idea for solo camping. But Ethan is correct since he wants a passenger seat in place. Agree with removing only the seat back since in the 2016 Jk the seatbelt and airbag sensors remain in place and no annoying warning light on the dash.
good idea but!! Try to convince others. We're selling our 2 dr JK.. has a really cool custom storage/sleeper package. A dealer phoned wanting the jeep but says to ditch the storage/sleeper and put the seat back in.. Apparently no one wants to sleep in a Jamper. Too weird!

Actually adds enough space for a bed liner or air mattress now. Very nice bro!

Thank you so much!
This is actually pretty clever
“See how sturdy it is?”
“Eh it’s not that sturdy”😂😂
Jacob Morris haha yeah
@@1obis6 Use proper fitting square tubing . . . and they sell hitch clamps that are simply large U-bolts that make it solid as a rock.
You are human and creative. Nice work
Thank you!
I really wanna do this, now that I see you’re a fellow Oregonian, kudos even more

Definitely. You don't know how many people would love to sleep in their 2 door jeep and actually stretch out without hanging a hammock or curling up.
Great idea, well done, have fun, makes me wanna do the same, giving something to think about
wonder how the set up would work for a soft top. great job !!
Pipe insulation foam or a pool noodle to help seal it ?? There are a few similar set ups out there going back to CJs... Nice job...
Xtreme XJ I used regular old door seemer or something, seems to work okay so far

Good idea actually. Hey have you considered putting the box on tacks so it slides out ?
Anthony Grigereit that was the plan, but they are kinda expensive
@@1obis6 I thought I saw some design like that from VW T5, but didn't look nice, I will use your idea on my 1995 YJ
Like the idea ... nice.
if u like that go check out my newest video, i make another easy jeep camper.

i thought about that so much, but this is so much more comfotable even when i'm going solo, also i have an extra seat for whatever or whoever i need.
Everyday life for me

Possibly make it collapsible?
Just wondering what your thoughts would be.
This was a great concept, good job
@@Foltz03 I thought about building it like a tent trailer so it would be canvas and u would prop it up. also, you could just build it less tall.

Is there a follow up.
The two of you on it... sitting.
Make it taller so u have nore room and maybe design some rails so it extends easier. Good job

im weird so..
I'd patent that shit for real. Then make a too that fits over the inlet for a kitchen cook station.
patent pending but yes
how much does that thing weigh?
its made out of 3/4" ply-wood, and its painted so its pretty damn heavy.
Remove the passenger seat plenty of room to sleep. Ultimate jeep lifestyle solo ride
Yes, Id love to but i need to have both my seats since its my daily
Any problems with airbag and seat belt lights on removing the entire passenger seat?
But great job imma have to steal the idea
I understood nothing of that intro bro
I don’t think you understand how space works 😂
Just by a lj
A standard jk frame is the same length as a lj frame. :)
okay
hhmmhmm
okay
