He has a fantastic and practical set up for the type of work he does, and is clearly having fun. Maybe some of you should focus on building the life you want, instead of whining about what he's doing.
Sure but there is nothing wrong with pointing out the extreme privilege this guy has to live this life. He is a recent college grad that apparently has a ton of cash. 99% of the people in the world don't have the opportunity to attend a world class university no matter how smart they are. This guy did it and came out with a ton of cash. It is a fantasy to state that everyone should quit whining and just become him. Having said that...good for him for doing well with what he was given.

Had that tent in my jeep 10 years ago, here in Brazil, it was custom made by a very cool company, the main difference from mine to yours is that where the ladder is we have a cover all the way around that area to use it as a dressing room or some where closed to stay in snow/rain etc. it's very nice.

The Internet really is such magic. I've been looking at Jeeps and Rav 4s the last couple of weeks, considering the possibility of taking off into the wildes (of Australia). Tonight I googled "living in car" and your video came up with a complete package. Thank you man, and happy trails!
In 1990 , 30 years ago, I had 1986 Toyota land cruiser fj60. And I turned it in to full time living house/ camper. I didn't do it because I needed place to live. I did it to se if it can be done !!! And than I was so impressed with result, so I decide to hit the road and see some places. I was living out if my car for 7 years !!! Constantly changing and chiseling my modifications to perfection !! I did travel all over north, central and south America, all over Europe, Asia, all over Russia and some Africa !!! My land cruiser is hold up perfectly !!! Well.. I didn't abuse it very much , and was trying not to push it to its limit !!! My goal was never rent a room , never buy a hot shower,, and in 7 years of my adventure I never did !!! Alway spend a night in my car and take at list one a day shower with shower I built my self !!! I have to say I'm in my early 50s , and I'm thinking to hit the road again with my wife !!! Fridom of open road, that adventure is the best of what life can bring to you , I won't to my wife experience that to !!!

For people complaining about how expensive this setup is, a little reminder that it appears he is living/working in California, where one or two months of rent probably already cost more than a majority of his gear.
That's so true, people easily forget that this guy isn't paying rent so the extra gear is easier to acquire than if you had to worry about the cost of an apt with all the utility bills

I haven't taken a warm shower in months by choice at home. Taking cold showers has been one of the best things have done for myself. It really wakes you up and I feel keeps your immune system strong. Its almost the same feeling afterward of running or working out hard, just by taking a cold shower.

Your the second person I’ve seen retro-fit their Jeep as a year round Mobil home. Out of all the vehicles to choose from as far as turning into a Mobil home, the Jeep is probably the most difficult but also one of the best in my opinion. You really can’t beat the compact size and the off-road capabilities of a good Jeep. Your set up is very similar to the other person I was talking about except he doesn’t have a bed or any sleeping quarters inside the Jeep itself. He solely uses a roof tent. I think when it comes to living out of a Jeep you absolutely must have a roof tent. I just don’t seen any other way around it especially when it comes to comfort. It’s pretty amazing that you were able to squeeze a bed inside the cabin of your vehicle considering how tall you are. Overall I’m extremely impressed with your build and you definitely have everything you need. Great video and I look forward to seeing the next one! Cheers!

The tent is not air tight by any means and I only run the heater for 15-20 minutes before I go to bed and same in the morning. It also has a built in CO2 reader and will shut off automatically if it reads high levels

The stock rear bumper is hollow. A few guys on TH-cam turned them into a water resivoir it holds 7ish gallons. Search it would be great for your setup
