      Hi Lisa
All our feed is from tractor supply. The hay is consistent. We also feed compressed alfalfa grass and beet pulp. The 2 string gets fed at night it lasts longer than the compressed because they love alfalfa grass hay. If we get somewhere that a tractor supply want on route, which doesn't happen often. We will take the bike and trailer out to get what we need for our stay

Been a few yrs since we have been to lake Louisiana.
First time we camped was for a poker ride. When the ride was done we were the only campers and had gun shots coming in our camp from the grove across the rode.
There was a manure pile by a round pen yrs ago.
Can't beleave people would leave a mess.
Yr ago no dogs were aloud in the primative area because people couldn't follow the leach rule.

Not sure, things must have really changed. There is no round pen, dogs are allowed and across the road was a couple farms and a business. . Although the road was busy with delivery trucks and Fed ex.

We are never gone more than 4-5 hours and we watch the weather. We're hoping to be back in Arizona 2025.

That's a shame you didn't get much trail riding done. Tracey (Australia)😊

What breed are your horses? The water is dark because of the tannins.

Honey Bee and Oakley are Canadian draft quarter horse crosses. There's 2 Canadian breeds, the Canadian warmblood and the Canadian draft.

I've never horse camped there, but this behavior is "typical" in Florida. I don't know how much they charge for camping there, but where my group camps in Lake County its "$5.00" a night per person! We have a barn, high lines, paddocks, a huge pavilion, a REAL bathhouse with hot/cold showers, and water run all over the place. We have ALL that STILL people sneak in without paying, and leave the barn and paddocks and bathhouses a mess! Disgusting and disappointing. Must say, most of the time it's out of state "visitors" that are the worst offenders.
